*Ray J is denying a report by Radar Online Monday that claims he texted Kim Kardashian before her wedding to take credit for her popularity.
According to the publication, Ray suggested her stardom is rooted in their sex tape scandal, texting: “And to think you really have me to thank for all this ;-).”
In an interview with Chicago’s 107.5 WGCI, the 30-year-old denied texting the message to Kardashian. “I’m so over that,” he said. “Let her live her life. Everybody sending me these crazy wild Twitter [messages] and all these texts about her. I’m like look, let that girl live, let her be happy, leave her alone.”
Asked whether or not he contacted Kardashian at all to offer his congratulations, Ray was less forthcoming. “I ain’t gonna really say what I did, but I do wish them the best,” he admitted. “I’m over all of that. I wish them the best. She’s doing real good right now, that’s what it is.”
Kardashian tied the knot with basketball player Kris Humphries during a lavish ceremony in Montecito, Calif. Saturday (Aug. 20).
Ray and Kardashian began dating in 2006, and one year later, their sextape was leaked to the public. The video was distributed by porn giant Vivid Entertainment, and while Kardashian initially filed a $5 million lawsuit attempting to bar further release of the tape, she later reached a settlement for an undisclosed amount.
