Beyonce gives the Angelia Jolie Oscar pose at the Met Gala (May 7, 2013)
*The New York Post, citing “multiple sources,” is claiming that Beyonce – currently overseas on a world tour – is pregnant with her second child.
The newspaper pointed to photos of her from last week’s Met Gala as proof.
Her Givenchy gown, notes the Post, featured a high, belted waist that carefully camouflaged her midsection, while more recent pictures of the star on stage in London show a more of a “rounded tummy.”
Gossip site Media Takeout says it has been “CONFIRMED” by a “quasi-official” member of the Beyonce/Jay-Z team that the singer is pregnant, and will officially announce it at the BET Awards show on June 30.
However, the singer’s mother ran to Access Hollywood today (May 13) to deny that the Bey has another love on top.
“Not right now,” Tina Knowles told the show. Watch below.
*Since rumors of allegedly feuding “Idol” judges, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, have surfaced, the show’s producers have spoken up about the issue, saying the reports aren’t all true.
“This is one of the best, most passionate, dynamic and invested judging panels we’ve ever had,” producers said in a statement released to “Access Hollywood.” “We love and support all of the judges and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can’t imagine a better group to find the next ‘American Idol.’ Despite all the accusations and media speculation – much of which is inaccurate – production is going extremely well today and the judges are focused on finding the best talent here in Baton Rouge,” the statement concluded.
So there you have it, the ladies aren’t having a cat fight… at least to the capacity that’s been reported.
But, allegedly, Mariah told Barbara Walters on “The View,” that Nicki walked off the set and said, “If I had a gun, I would shoot the b*tch.”
And Nicki took to Twitter to share her side of the story…
“I don’t call tmz n Barbara Walters cuz I stand on my own two feet. Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave,” she Tweeted on Thursday. “I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to ur face that nicki is the best judge we’ve had since simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn.”
“Tried to keep quiet but let’s go!!!!… I thought we resolved it yesterday but I see u want ur pity party to continue,” she added. “So I’m bout to po dot tea.”
*Ever since Michelle Obama delivered her Democratic National Convention speech in a Tracy Reese dress, the designer says her label has been flooded with inquires about how people can get their hands on the garment.
“Our Facebook page lit up and our website went crazy!” she told Access Hollywood on Wednesday. “We’ve had tons of requests for the dress already.”
Reese says it was “an incredible thrill” to watch one of her designs on the first lady. “Especially for such an important moment. The dress has a bit of luminescence to it and I think it just all really worked, but she’s got an amazing figure.”
The frock was pink with a blue, bronze and gray scalloped hem, which Michelle paired with pink suede pumps from J. Crew.
“She’s so easy to dress and I loved that the arm hole was cut in and it showed her beautiful shoulders and arms,” Tracy continued.
The famed designer, who also appeared on “Today” this morning [scroll down to watch], was glad to see that dress worked on multiple levels.
“[It] still had strength, but was feminine… kind of at the essence of who [Michelle] is,” she told Access.
And Michelle might be sporting more Tracy Reese in the near future.
“We might see her in a few [of my designs] in the next few weeks,” Tracy revealed with a smile.
*Steve Harvey’s success with “Think Like a Man” is still reverberating among filmmakers and movie watchers. So much so that a sequel could be the next thing for the franchise.
But Steve is concerned that writers will take the story to a place he didn’t imagine.
“They pitched a couple of storylines to me. I’m not sold on any one of them yet,” Harvey told Access Hollywood. “You can’t take my book and turn it into anything close to buffoonery. I’m not ever going to allow that. The book wasn’t about buffoonery. The first movie wasn’t-and it really struck a nerve with men and women-and so the second movie has to be in that same vein,” he said.
Sequels are infamous for being pretty wack, especially romantic comedies. But hey, who knows. The possibilities are endless.
He admitted it’s going to be hard to have the same success as the first one.
In the meantime, Steve is writing his third book that will include words of wisdom love and of course everyday life.
Also, the self-appointed relationship guru will be bringing his expertise on romance to the small-screen when his new daytime talk show premieres.
“We’re going to do a lot of relationship stuff. That’s what’s really important out there today to a lot of people, but we’re going to offer a lot of takeaways in terms of politics, to health, to fitness. It’s mostly a lot of fun. I am just a firm believer that laughter is so inexpensive, and it does the absolute most for people.”
Harvey tells Access Hollywood more about his new talk show:
*The sister of Bobby Brown told “Access Hollywood” Tuesday that her niece, Bobbi Kristina, is not safe and should not trust anybody other than her father and her grandmother Cissy Houston.
Auntie Leolah Brown, speaking for the first time since the death of her former sister-in-law Whitney Houston, said, “I am concerned about my niece Bobbi Kristina, yes. Krissy is not safe right now. I want to say to Krissy that it’s very, very, very important that she does not trust anybody at this time – anybody except her father, her grandmother Cissy and myself. And I mean that.”
Leolah and her attorney Reginald Mason would not get specific about who may try and hurt Bobbi, but she added, “Right now is the time to just really shut the door,” with Mason saying, “There are persons that possibly would want to take advantage of Bobbi Kristina’s fragile state of mind.”
Also during the interview, Leolah said she hoped the Beverly Hills Police Department carries out a thorough investigation, adding, “I believe Whitney’s death was not accidental.”
When pushed on who she thought killed the singer, Bobby Brown’s sister said, “It’s very important to know that she did not just pass away like that. No. And if it’s the last thing that I do, I’m going to find out what truly happened to my sister.”
*Last week it was reported that the UK Star magazine’s post-baby interview with Beyonce was a fake. Hmm, ya think?
After all, it seemed a bit unreal that she’d be out in the public with her bundle of joy so quickly, especially since she and her hubby Jay-Z went to the extreme with security and privacy. The couple made sure the windows of the delivery room were blacked out and an entourage of security to escort them home after birth.
Beyonce’s Mom, Tina Knowles, then confirmed with Access Hollywood that the interview was completely made up. But UK Star admitted the magazine didn’t do the original, but claims Beyonce’s peeps gave the go ahead.
“It is not made up or fictitious at all. We bought the interview from a reporter in the U.S. who conducted the interview with Beyoncé before the birth,” a UK Star editor asserted. “The reporter then obtained the ‘top-up’ info after the birth, which we believe to have been signed off by a girl on her LSM [labor service management] team.”
