Adam Housley went in on those who criticized his relationship with Mowry after she opened up about racism she experienced on the Internet on “Oprah: Where Are They Now?”
*Here he is – Mr. Aden John Tanner Housley.
Adam and Tamera Mowry-Housley is sharing this photo of their newborn son on both of their Twitter pages.
“Chillin with my grandma Darlene today! She hooked me up with a cool outfit,” the actress, 34, wrote in the voice of her newborn.
As for Aden’s name, Housley, 40, explains: “He has two middle names. A for me, T for Tamera and John [is] our fathers’ middle name.”
Arriving Monday evening in Los Angeles, Aden is the first child for the couple, who got hitched in May 2011 in Napa Valley.
“Thanks for all the love and well wishes,” Mowry-Housley Tweeted Wednesday. “Adam and I are very overjoyed with love and feel so blessed. Being a new mommy ROCKS!”
*Tamera Mowry-Housley is now officially a first-time mom.
The actress and her husband-of-18-months, Fox News correspondent Adam Housley, welcomed son Aden John Taylor in Los Angeles on Monday (Nov. 12), two weeks after Mowry’s due date.
“We are so happy! He is healthy, happy, strong, beautiful, and our families are so excited to have another grandchild, cousin and nephew,” Tamera tells In Touch magazine.
Tamera’s twin sister Tia Mowry and her husband Cory Hardrict welcomed their first child, Cree, in June 2011.
Congratulating her twin on Twitter.com, Tia writes, “Yay!!! I can finally now say I am an auntie…!!!! Cree now has a play date! He is beautiful!”
*Fans of the Style series “Tia and Tamera” got an early peek at Tamera Mowry-Housley in GMC’s “Christmas Angel,” which she filmed earlier this year in New Orleans with cameras from her reality show in tow.
“I was four months pregnant while doing it and shooting the reality show – and in some humidity. It was quite interesting,” Tamera told us back in August during interviews for the film.
Her newborn son with husband Adam Housley is due any second, while “Christmas Angel” will make its debut on Nov. 24 and 25 to kick off the holiday season, with co-stars Della Reese, Teri Polo, Kevin Sorbo, “American Idol” vet Mandisa and newcomer Izabela Vidovic in an inspirational story of hope, wishes, reward, and Christmas miracles.
The plot follows a young girl’s wish for a complete family. While writing a class paper on “My Impossible Christmas Wish,” Olivia Mead (Izabela Vidovic) quickly takes note of unusual happenings going on around her. As her wishes come true, she is convinced the miracles are linked to a mysterious woman she believes is an angel living in the house across the street.
Mowry put in four days of work as Daphney, a bakery owner and mother of a 10-year-old son named Lucas. Below, she says the role ended up being a practice run for her own impending motherhood.
*The season 2 finale of “Tia & Tamera,” airing Monday (Aug. 27) at 8 p.m., will finally reveal the first pregnancy of Tamera Mowry Housley after she announced the news in May.
During the episode, titled “Are You Pregnant?,” viewers will see how Tamera, 33, and her husband, FOX News correspondent Adam Housley, discovered they were with child. The couple is expecting a little boy on Oct. 30.
“We’re going to tell everyone the baby’s name when he’s born,” Tamera told EURweb at the TCA Press Tour earlier this month. However, the siblings’ Wondertwin powers had Tia figuring out her nephew’s name before Tamera could even tell her.
“First try,” Tia proudly clarified. “She didn’t even tell me, I guessed it.”
“Which was kind of interesting,” said Tamera, “but that’s that twin telepathy thing. It is real and no joke.”
Tamera, whose pregnancy came just ten months after Tia gave birth to lil “Cree Cree,” said her sister has been a great source of knowledge for what to expect: “Tia’s been giving me amazing advice on being pregnant and also the ups and downs of being a mom. ‘Don’t be too hard on yourself. You’re going to fail at times, and you’re going to succeed at times.’ Knowing all of that, I think I’m a lot more calm. So I feel blessed to have someone go through it.”
In July, the sisters returned from a trip to the Bahamas, where they shook the family tree. Their father Timothy is British American while their mother, Darlene, has deep roots on the island. The entire vacation was filmed for the forthcoming third season of their Style network reality series.
Below, Tia and Tamera dish on the trip – recalling how they met their third cousins for the first time and the experience of tracing their mother’s bloodline. [Tia speaks first, the hoarse voice is Tamera's.]
During their Bahamas trip, Tia and Tamera visited such places as the central business hub, the Straw Market, seafood village, Arawak Cay and the island of Eleuthera. Below, some of their tweeted pics.
*Tamera Mowry-Housley is having the best year ever!
In May, the actress married her longtime love, FOX News correspondent Adam Housley, in a beautiful vineyard ceremony, and this month she’s the cover star of Get Married magazine’s fall issue, on stands now.
As if that weren’t already awesome news, she’s got more excitement on the way. In two weeks, her new reality show, “Tia and Tamera,” debuts on the Style Network. Tamera is one busy woman right now, and lucky for us, we were able to catch up with her for a little chit-chat.
In a piece for Essence.com, she tells why she chose Adam to be her lawfully wedded husband, what married life has been like thus far, and why she’d much rather live in a world where people were color blind!
ESSENCE.COM: You are no longer a single lady. Congrats on the big wedding! What’s married life like?
TAMERA MOWRY: It’s amazing! I feel like I have a lot more strength, and I have this person who has my back, and no matter what he’s going to be there for me. That just in itself makes me feel a lot more confident and a lot more safe. It feels amazing — it really, really does. Adam and I, we haven’t lived together, so we’re going through that right now. Moving is challenging, but it’s rewarding. That’s the best I can describe it. Because once you go through a challenging situation then you overcome it you’re like “yes, we can do this.” Adam has to do most of the moving so I kind of feel sorry for him in that sense. He’s moving into my place and one of the main things that we’re going through right now is that I don’t want him to feel like a visitor. It’s our place. We’re kind of going through the transition where you say “my place” and then you’re like, “no, wait, it’s our place.” Plus, saying “my husband”, that feels amazing too. There’s something that just goes through your body when you say those words.
TAMERA: I can be completely myself. I didn’t have to worry about that. I have naturally curly hair, but a lot of my ex boyfriends always liked it straight. It’s a lot of work keeping it straight all the time, whereas Adam liked me as me. Not only that, but when we were going out on dates and eating, and I found myself being able to eat and do whatever I wanted to do. I didn’t feel like I had to watch what I say or watch what I do. I could completely just be raw and that’s how I knew. I always wanted to be with him. I never got tired of him. He made me feel very comfortable.
ESSENCE.COM: Will you share one of the wedding moments you keep replaying in your head?
TAMERA: Oh gosh that’s hard. There were so many. When Adam and I did our first dance, because we did a really funny one. First we danced to Journey’s “Faithfully” then we broke out into LL Cool J’s “Going Back to Cali.” LL Cool J follows us both on Twitter, which I have to mention because I think that’s amazing, and he found out about it. He retweeted it!
