Janay Pamer and Ray Rice
*Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice and his fiancée were both arrested and charged with simple assault over the weekend after they allegedly fought each other at an Atlantic City casino, reports ESPN.com.
According to the police report, Rice and his fiancée Janay A. Palmer “struck each other with their hands” at the Revel Casino. Cops were called to the scene at 2:51 a.m., and both refused medical attention. No injuries were reported.
They were transported to a nearby police station and booked for Simple Assault-Domestic Violence. The couple was released on a summons to appear in court.
*The effects of NYC’s Hurricane Sandy are still being felt, no doubt.
Jay-Z’s 40/40 club, an Atlantic City mainstay since 2005, recently closed its doors as a result of the damage done both inside and outside of this once bustling joint that drew celebrities and haute-hautes from around the globe to Atlantic City.
Ron Berkowitz, a spokesman for 40/40, confirmed that the lease for the club ended last October.
“Back in those days, it did a lot for the Atlantic City brand in the sense that here you have Jay-Z opening what was just his second 40/40 Club outside of New York,” said Jeffrey Vasser, president of the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority,” who called the club a “great investment.”
*We all know that Kanye West is an arrogant artist and has admitted to his own personal imperfections. But he says everything that is perfect is his music.
At his first show of his two-night concert at Atlantic City’s Revel Hotel and Casino, he told the crow, “As a man I’m not perfect. But my music is! I make perfect music.”

Kanye worked his concert, performing 20 something songs at two sold-out shows, says Rolling Stone. He even serenaded his girlfriend with “Way Too Cold.”
“It’s moments like this that makes all the bullsh*t worth it,” he said. “This is the best you’ll ever get it!”
Although we prefaced this story with the observation that he’s arrogant, he denies notion when talking about his music. He says it’s factual.
*This weekend, in the midst of all the projects he’s got his hands in, Jamie Foxx is getting back to the foundation of his career and returning to comedy.
On Friday, July 6, he’ll crack a few jokes at Caesars Atlantic City in New Jersey and the event will feature a live broadcast of his popular Sirius XM Foxxhole Radio Show.
“There are a lot of people getting [to Atlantic City] more. I call my friends from Philly and all my homies on the East Coast,” he said. “Atlantic City represents a little bit of a vacation for them. A lot of times a lot of people can’t get down to the Essence Festival. So my manager came up with the idea to do our own thing. I’m going to be doing my Foxxhole radio show from Atlantic City. We are putting our own stamp on it.”
Fans might get a little concert during the show if they’re lucky. Last year the entertainer showed up and definitely showed out at the House of Blues doing his sexy music thing of course.
Also joining the multi-talented crooner will be Funkmaster Flex who is going to get down at the All White affair.
“We got some extremely talented people, comedians and singers who are going to be at the shows,” he said. “We got Tony Rock, Bill Bellamy, a whole host of people, man. I’m going to get up on stage and chop up a few lines here and there to make it pop. And we’ve been doing the radio show for so long that it’s like breathing. That’s what the fans really look forward to because we have our own take on everything.
Foxx is also working on highly anticipated film “Django: Unchained.” He also mentioned that he’s on a movie marathon right now, working on this part of his career, before he gets back heavy into comedy.
*Believe it or not, after the rumors of Beyoncé avoiding Kim Kardashian, the two were spotted having a bonding moment in Atlantic City where the singer was performing over the weekend.
Backstage, Kim had an opportunity to chat with the diva and the two were caught embracing and dancing with one another.

“Kim thought it was such a great show,” a source told Us Weekly. “There’s always some random rumors there is tension between them and there totally isn’t! Kim had so much fun.”
Kim wasn’t the only star who attended the four-concert weekend. The Obama ladies were spotted in a private box dancing and singing to some of their favorites and Gale King sat nearby.

This was Beyoncé’s big debut since having Blue Ivy in January. On Saturday, the singer revealed to her screaming fans that she lost 60 pounds since giving birth.
“Y’all have no idea how hard I worked! They had me on that treadmill. I ate lettuce!” she told her fans. “Now tonight I’m gonna get chocolate wasted!”
