*Wow, what an emotional, rough year Evelyn Lozada had two years ago!
In 2012, she was on top of the “Basketball Wives” latter as the leading mean lady.
But her reign came tumbling down soon after a string of extremely personal downs in her life.
*Evelyn Lozada is making the impending arrival of her baby boy an event with her recent baby shower. So much so that Sister 2 Sister reports the “Basketball Wives” star put an elegant spin on the occasion.
“I didn’t want my baby shower to be too cheesy,” Lozada said in a new YouTube video of the event, which was held last weekend. “So we decided on “Diamonds and Diapers,” which every girl loves diamonds–lets just keep it real, its not just me–so we just wanted it to be different. ”
*Evelyn Lozada announced today that she and her Los Angeles Dodgers fiancé Carl Crawford are expecting a baby boy.
“Surprisingly, I found out when I had my first trimester screening,” she told People. “I was about 13 weeks when they told me the sex. I was honestly praying for a boy. I have wanted to have a son for years.”
The “Basketball Wives” star has a 20-year-old daughter Shaniece from a previous relationship. She was by her mom’s side when the baby’s gender was revealed.
“We were both so happy. There are all girls on my side, so this will be our first boy. My family is over the moon,” Lozada, who is due in March, told the magazine. “Every time I go to the doctor, I have them check to make sure it’s a boy. I’m still in disbelief!”
*Sisters Gloria Govan Barnes and Laura Govan are looking to show what a real NBA wife’s life is like with their own new reality show.
“We’re working on a family show: me, my sister, Gilbert [Arenas], Matt [Barnes], you know all of our kids. You know my sister’s got like 18 kids. It’s really four, but it feels like 18 because they’re all over the place. We’re doing a lot of stuff that we’re doing together, which is really cool,” Gloria joked with TheJasmineBrand.com.
