Antoine Martin found inappropriate messages on his 13-year-old daughter’s Facebook page from a 22-year-old man that was planning to meet her at the Boys and Girl’s Club of America in southwest Detroit’s Highland Park, where she regularly went after school, according to Fox Detroit.

*EURweb has received this You Tube video from singer/actor Tyrese Gibson as a lasting tribute to Black History and a modern day call to consciousness.
According to Tyrese, this is merely a vision that he had to act upon, so he solicted Blair Underwood and Jill Scott and they both agreed to participate. The video is titled “A Dreamer’s Dream” and it’s only available online, but is growing in popularity through social media. It stars Blair Underwood as the dreamer, and Tyrese and Jill Scott portraying the voices of Dr. Martin Luther King and Coretta Scott King.
Tyrese is motivated to be an inspiration. A Dreamer’s Dream is directed and produced by Tyrese and written by Tyrese and Monique Matthews. Fans can give direct feedback to Tyrese by following him on Twitter @Tyrese.
With over twenty one television and film credits under his belt, Tyrese has also found the time to constantly give back to the community. He helped raise over $300,000 to help build a local Boys and Girls Club, among many other charitable contributions. He is rumored to reprise his role of Romeo Pearce in the sixth installment of the Fast and Furious movie franchise, which is due out in 2013.

*2011 All-Star Weekend marks the third year that LaBron James and Hip Hop mogul Jay-Z partnered up to give back to the community. The pair presented the Boys & Girls Club of Los Angeles with a brand new gym!
During the event, Jay-Z and James also unveiled a mural created by tattoo artist Mr. Cartoon. The artwork, displayed on a wall inside the Lincoln Heights facility, showcases the words “pride,” “family” and “young forever,” along with the name of the club surrounded by drawings of a stereo, a car and most importantly, a boy and a girl.
In the past, the two have donated instruments to students and have interacted with the youth in the past over the week of activities.

*Breaking with the tradition of congratulating teams at the White House, President Barack Obama took the NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers with him to a community service project at a Boys and Girls Club on Monday.
The president and players led by NBA star Kobe Bryant joined with the youth in putting together care packages for wounded service members and toiletry kits for the homeless before he congratulated them on their second straight title in a ceremony on the gym floor.
The Lakers won their second consecutive title this year, and their 16th championship overall.
Obama said he wanted to do something different than a White House photo opportunity this year with the Lakers.
*Today, President Obama is scheduled to meet with the NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers. It’s not clear, though, that the basketball-loving president will shoot hoops with Kobe Bryant and his teammates.
Continuing a practice of emphasizing community service while celebrating champion sports teams, the president will accompany the Lakers to a Boys and Girls club, and visit with the kids on Monday, according to a White House advisory.
Typically the president brings teams to the White House — as happened after the Lakers won the NBA title last year — but this time he’ll make his comments congratulating the team at the club.
The Lakers won their 16th NBA championship in June by beating the Boston Celtics. They’ll play the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night, the day after meeting with Obama.
