*The Lay’s company needs to put a dollar in all of our bags for starting this addiction among us that they admit to in their slogan, “Betcha can’t eat just one.” Now they add insult to injury and ask us to weigh in on yet another flavor.
The Lay’s company started a campaign last year asking America to submit a new flavor for the prize of $1 million. Three finalists have been chosen and they are: Chicken and Waffles, Sriracha, and Cheesy Garlic Bread.
All three are available in stores for a limited time so we can go and cast our votes online through Facebook or text in your vote, according to The Daily Meal.
*A Christian advocacy group against the commercial sex trade and human trafficking launched a social media campaign to coincide with the millions of people who interacted online during Sunday’s Super Bowl in New Orleans, reports the Christian Post.
Shared Hope International says there were 12.2 million Super Bowl related posts on social networking websites during and after the game. “As a matter of fact, the halftime show alone garnered 862,000 comments,” officials stated.
The organization said that these types of large numbers related to the game means there is “a chance for us together to get in the game and create awareness for the fight against human trafficking, through online advocacy.”
*Jay-Z and Beyonce have been huge supporters of President Obama from the election trails in 2008 to his re-election campaign now in 2012.
Last night, as the president took it to the mat with Mitt Romney at the Presidential Debate and Town Hall Meeting, Jay-Z was behind the scenes getting a push to voters via a video message.
Jay-Z’s (formally known as Sean Carter) campaign video is a great montage of the Made In America concert in Philadelphia, Pa., September 1, with the president explaining why Jay-Z is the American that he speaks of every day
*President Barack and Michelle Obama are the cutest couple ever, right?
The first lady will visit with Steve Harvey on the new daytime television show, “Steve Harvey,” today, Wednesday (check local listing for time in your area) to discuss her 20-year marriage and the first time she and her man ever kissed.
It all started back in 1989 when the two were just flirting. Barack invited his crush out for ice cream at Baskin Robbins, where he worked. She says he was a smooth operator and went in for the kiss.
“We were talking, eating and laughing and he leaned over and asked me if he could he kiss me…and I said, “Yes!”
By the way, in an interview with Oprah Magazine in 2007, the President said Michelle tasted like chocolate.Alrighty then!
*In a surprising survey, HoopsHype.com found that although President Barack Obama is a hooper, his GOP rival Mitt Romney has managed to garner more NBA support than him.
We have to keep in mind, however, that most of the pro-ball contributors are team owners and executives. You can figure out the rest.
Anyway, Romney collected more than $70,000 in donations from owners and execs like Michael Gear of the Atlanta Hawks, Daryl Morey of the Houston Rockets, Pat Riley of the Miami Heat, and Herb Simon of the Indiana Pacers.
Obama wasn’t far behind though, with $67,750.
The president plans to pass up the competition with a star studded event called ‘Classic,’ where NBA legends Michael Jordan and Patrick Ewing will participate.
NBA-sters who have donated to his campaign include Vince Carter, Grant Hill, Baron Davis, Spurs’ Gregg Popovich, and Celtics’ Doc Rivers.
