*Police say Carlos Santana drove into an unoccupied parked car near an upscale area of Las Vegas, but escaped injury.
The Grammy-winning superstar was headed home alone when the accident occurred Friday night in Summerlin.
Police Lt. Ken Romane told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that it’s uncertain whether a sobriety field test was conducted, but Santana was not driving under the influence.
Romane did not know the make of Santana’s vehicle or the extent of damage to it and the parked car. Romane said the accident was “minor.”
According to his concert schedule, the 66-year-old Santana performed on Thursday and Saturday nights but not on Friday night.
Santana has won 15 Grammys and is best known for the album “Supernatural,” which has sold more than 25 million copies. Last week he was named among the 2013 Kennedy Center Honorees.
*By the grace of God, Romeo Miller is still with us.
But things could have gone very differently and could be reporting on a horrible tragedy instead.
If you haven’t heard, the actor/singer/baller was in a pretty bad accident this past Friday and he’s feeling really lucky and blessed to still be here
On Sunday in Calabasas, Romeo explained the near-death experience to a TMZ camera guy.
“I could have been gone. I got into a collision, 70 mph, on my side of the car.”
Romeo was a passenger in the accident, and posted pics on Instagram of the wreckage inside … where both airbags deployed.

*Former NBA star Mookie Blaylock was charged with driving on a suspended license and failing to stay in his lane in a head-on crash that killed a woman outside Atlanta, police said Sunday.
Jonesboro Police Chief Franklin Allen said authorities wanted to talk to Blaylock, 46, before deciding whether he should face more serious charges. Officers had not been able to speak with Blaylock because of his injuries but they hope to do so as early as Monday, the chief said.
”The last update I got was that he is awake but groggy,” Allen said.
Blaylock was driving an SUV that collided Friday with a van after crossing the center line in the Atlanta suburb of Jonesboro, police said. The crash killed Monica Murphy, 43. Her husband was driving the van and suffered a broken ankle.
Blaylock was seriously injured, but a spokeswoman at Atlanta Medical Center said his condition was upgraded to fair Sunday. He was initially in critical condition.
Allen said talking to Blaylock would be the first step in determining what caused the accident. The chief said those discussions and talks with prosecutors would determine whether Blaylock will face more charges.
Blaylock was a first-round draft pick by the New Jersey Nets out of Oklahoma in 1989. He played for the Atlanta Hawks between 1992 and 1999, appeared in the 1994 NBA All-Star game and had his best season in 1996-97, averaging 17.4 points and 5.9 assists. Blaylock also played for Golden State.
*Chris Brown and his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran were involved in a collision on Tuesday when the singer drove his Range Rover into the back of a black Mercedes at a light in Beverly Hills.
Brown – who was en route to a recording studio with Tran – immediately got out of his vehicle after the smash and exchanged insurance details with the female driver, as Karrueche snapped photos of the accident scene.
No one was injured in the accident and police were not called to the scene.
“They’re cool. Nobody got hurt,” a source close tells HollywoodLife.com. “Just some minor s**t, but Chris said he and Kae are all good.” The source added, “Insurance is handling all [of it].”
Chris and Karrueche have been spending more time together since Chris’ latest split with Rihanna. The two reportedly attended Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards together in Las Vegas.
A source tells HollywoodLife.com: “Chris Brown sent Karrueche to the Billboard Gifting Lounge presented by Kari Feinstein PR at the MGM in Las Vegas on Sunday. They arrived together, and then she stepped out of Brown’s trailer into the lounge. Later she was his date to the show. She loved the Vix bikinis and Vega crystal necklaces.”
*Grammy-winning jazz bassist Marcus Miller and several members of his band were injured when their bus overturned Sunday on a highway in Switzerland, killing the driver, police said.
The German-registered private bus tipped over as it rounded a bend on the A2 highway in central Switzerland and came to a rest on its side, police in the canton (state) of Uri said. The bus was carrying 13 people – two drivers and 11 members of the Marcus Miller Band, including Miller.
Over his career, the bassist has worked with jazz greats such as Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie and Wayne Shorter, according to his website. He won two Grammys, his first coming in 1991 for Best Rhythm & Blues Song (“Power of Love”) along with Luther Vandross and Teddy Vann, and the second came in 2001 for Best Contemporary Jazz Album (“M2″).
The band was on its way from Monte Carlo to the Dutch town of Hengelo, the next stop on their tour, where they were due to perform Monday.
The driver who was at the wheel at the time of the accident sustained fatal injuries. Police spokesman Karl Egli said the 12 passengers were injured and taken to hospitals, but none had life-threatening injuries.
Miller was discharged from the hospital later Sunday, as were fellow band members Alex Han and Kris Bowers, but some other band and crew members were being kept in hospitals overnight, according to a post on Miller’s official Facebook page.
The cause of the accident was not immediately clear. Police believe no other vehicles were involved.
