*Anybody hoping to see Leela James and Chrisette Michelle bring new drama to the upcoming season of “R&B Divas: LA” will be disappointed.
The newest additions to the hit reality show stood united in confirming that they will not be the source of any craziness when they talked to Roland Martin on “NewsOneNow.”
*Singer and “R&B Divas: LA” star Chanté Moore is enjoying the single life and not rushing to walk down the aisle again.
“Just thinking of actually waking up to the same guy everyday, ‘No, thank you,’ said Chanté. After she divorced the love of her life, “A Different World” actor Kadeem Hardison, she went on to marry Kenny Lattimore; who she also later divorced.
“I really want to date. I really want to be free. I can fly off to New York, Japan or Taiwan and nobody’s gonna be like, ‘You going without me?’” she said. “I love the freedom and the joy of it. I’ve been unhappily married for too long.”
We learned about Chanté’s rocky relationship with her ex-husband Kenny during episodes of “R&B Divas: LA.” Kenny was allegedly looking to gain full custody of their son, but now the legal battle is over, according to Chanté.
“It just hurt my feelings that he would even go there, but it’s over. It was irritating. I was more concerned about my son’s feelings and whether he was going to be hurt, but it turned out fine. All is well,” Chanté said.
The singer is enjoying her days as a free woman and encourages other single women to do the same.
“Be content with where you are. The Bible talks about being content with being rich or poor,” she said. “Find joy in the moment. It’s fun to be hugged and loved and paid attention to and to be told you’re beautiful, but date the crap out of somebody. Have a good time. It doesn’t take being married to have fun.”
*During Part 2 of the reunion special for “R&B Divas: LA,” two of the stars admitted to having trouble in the past with domestic violence.
The subject came up when Wendy Williams asked Michel’le about plastic surgery, and the singer revealed she had to have a nose job after being badly beaten by an ex.
She eventually admitted that her abuser was Dr. Dre. “That wasn’t a secret,” she said.
“I stayed because my father had never told me until the last three years so I think I had to go back and figure that out. Getting beat was love to me,” she said. “I did five videos and we had to cover three black eyes. It seemed like the day before a video I got a black eye and we had to cover it. But it was OK and I truly thought he loved me. I didn’t take it as anything bad.”
The experience left her with a distorted idea of love.
“When I got with Suge, he really didn’t beat me and I asked him, ‘Why aren’t you beating me? Do you not like me?’”
She goes on to reveal that Suge Knight helped her realize she didn’t deserve that type of treatment.
“I finally realized that wasn’t good. Believe it or not, the person who made me see that was Suge,” she said. “He tried to do that one time to me but I fought back.”
Then Chante Moore revealed that an ex, of whom she didn’t name, broke her nose as well forcing her to get plastic surgery on hers as well
“I actually had the same experience as her,” she said. “Somebody hit me in my face.
Neither of her baby’s father’s were responsible for the abuse, but she admits she now has a “very short wick” as a result of her abusive past.
*After news hit that cast members of the “R&B Divas” franchise were hitting the road for an “R&B Divas” tour, fans were THRILLED that they’d be able to experience what could be a legendary and soulful concert.
But contrary to one of the ‘Divas’ on the tour, there simply is no tour. Media partner, theJasmineBRAND.com spoke exclusively with Chante Moore who suggests that a tour has been not finalized or confirmed.

In fact, she says that it’s been canceled all together. The ex-wife of Kenny Lattimore also chimes in on why she feels that Kelly Price’s hug on the reunion show was staged.
Check out an excerpt of our conversation.
On reports that she’s touring with Kelly Price and other members of the R&B Divas franchise:
“Well it was a premature announcement that was made by Kelly. I didn’t know that she’s going to make that announcement on the show but I thought that I should let it go at that time because the reunion was taped a couple of weeks ago; because I thought by now, it would be cleared up or settled – that it would happen or would be for sure, or either way I thought something would be settled and at this moment, nothing is happening. They postponed or cancelled – definitely postponed – I don’t know if it’s ever going to get picked up. Period.”
On what her relationship was like with Kelly before the show:
“We’re more social. We did a couple of shows together. When Kenny and I were on the road, we opened up for her a couple of times. I didn’t know her-know her personally, we never were like call-you-on-the-phone kind of people, and that was fine! And I don’t have to be your friend, friend. You know what I mean?”
