Sean Combs Celebrates New Years with Ciroc Vodka at Sea
*And how did you spend your New Years Eve?
Was it as fab as Sean Diddy Combs‘ Ciroc Vodka sponsored shindig in St. Barts?
Well hey, if it wasn’t, Happy New Year, regardless.
If you’re wondering who was at the festive event to bring in the new year with Diddy, some of the guests in attendance included:
Keenan Ivory Wayans
Diddy and his adorable daughters
Russell Simmons and his girlfriend
*After Diana Ross emerged hobbling from an overseas birthday party thrown by Naomi Campbell for her boyfriend, the supermodel was herself on crutches at yet another birthday bash she hosted for her man – this time held stateside at the Florida home of Sean “P. Diddy” Combs.
On Friday, the British supermodel arrived at Diddy’s crib in a golf cart after suffering a torn ligament. She welcomed such guests as Lenny Kravitz, Demi Moore, Missy Elliott, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian to the rapper’s Star Island home in Miami in honor of Vladislav Doronin’s recent 50th birthday.
The 250 guests were served Diddy’s Ciroc vodka and Veuve Cliquot champagne and the mogul toasted Naomi and the Russian billionaire midway through the evening. Diddy was also heard urging his pal Kanye to smile for photographers.
According to the New York Post, he told Ye: ”You always look moody.”
As previously reported, Naomi – who has been in a relationship with Vladislav since 2008 – recently threw a lavish party to mark her boyfriend’s birthday in Jaipur, India. There, they were joined by the likes of Moore, Kate Moss, Vivienne Westwood, Bob Geldof and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, to enjoy a 1930s-themed dinner, with entertainment from Chaka Khan, Buddy Guy and Ross, who slipped and broke her ankle at the bash.
*Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz attended the annual Bronx Charter School auction and ended up in a high stakes bidding war against each other over one item.
“Alicia and Swizz looked more in love than ever, gazing into each other’s eyes and kissing like no one was watching,” a witness told People magazine. However, the canoodling didn’t quell their competitive nature, which was exposed when a guitar signed by the Rolling Stones went up for bid.
Ultimately, neither one took home the instrument. Keys ended up with a penguin drawing created in collaboration between her husband and some schoolchildren, while Swizz took a turn spinning tracks behind the deejay booth at the Ciroc Vodka-sponsored party.
Also on hand were La La Vasquez and her husband Carmelo Anthony, as well as Kaseem Jr., Swizz’s 6-year-old son from his previous marriage.
*Ciroc vodka, a product of Brand Manager/CMO Sean “Diddy” Combs, has been named one of America’s hottest brands by Advertising Age.
“This is a huge honor for us to be included in this illustrious list,” Combs tells UsMagazine.com. “It shows that Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka is a brand America loves and hard work pays off!”
“Made in France, Cîroc vodka … is one of the first vodkas made from fine French grapes, mauzac blanc and ugni blanc, and it is distilled five times,” notes AdAge. “But what really sets this brand apart are its street credentials.”
Other brands honored on AdAge’s Hottest list: Fox’s TV’s “Glee,” automaker Buick, talk show host Conan O’Brien, Apple’s IPad, trendy kid bracelets Silly Bandz and McDonald’s “McCafe” coffee line.
*Ice-T has become the latest hip hop star to launch his own alcoholic brand.
The “Law & Order: SVU” star has signed a deal with Aiko Importers and Pay Up Management to promote a new beverage, named Original Gangster XO Brandy.
The 52-year-old entertainer, born Tracy Morrow, will not receive a fee to promote the drink and instead is going into partnership with the companies, according to allhiphop.com.
Ice-T’s manager Mickey Bentson – who owns Pay Up Records – has confirmed the deal, telling website: “Ice-T sat down with me and I told him, ‘You have to see the presentation.’ He loved the taste and the bottle. At the direction of Ice-T, I also told them we didn’t want money, we wanted a partnership.
“Ice decided it would be best to have partnership in the business so we can build other brands. The bottles are great and the liquor is fantastic.”
Original Gangster XO Brandy is produced in France and made by hand in small batches. It is created with a blend from “exceptional vineyards” to ensure a distinctive flavor.
Ice T. follows in the footsteps of P. Diddy, who promotes Ciroc vodka, and Dr. Dre, who is behind Aftermath Cognac.
*A comment made by Sean “Diddy” Combs about his Ciroc brand of vodka has caused a series of events that culminated today with a protest in front of his Times Square billboard and the attempted delivery of a toilet at his Manhattan offices.
At a New York club last week, Diddy boasted: “If you’re not drinking Ciroc vodka, then you’re drinking pee pee.”
The owner of rival vodka Georgi Argent heard about the remark and led a group of protesters to Diddy’s gargantuan Sean Jean billboard in Times Square to protest.
According to reports, owner Martin Silver and the protestors attempted to deliver a large toilet bowl to Diddy’s Bad Boy headquarters in Manhattan, but they were all rebuffed by the mogul’s security guards.
Combs owns 50% of the Ciroc brand, which is imported from France via a deal with his partner in the venture, Diageo PLC.
