HBO has released its hip hop “Game of Thrones” mixtape “Catch the Throne,” featuring tracks from Wale, Common, Big Boi, Daddy Yankee and more.
Each song starts out with a bit of dialogue from the series, setting the tone and establishing the beat’s subject before transitioning into the song.

*HBO has recruited rappers to promote season four of its wildly popular series “Game of Thrones,”
On Friday (March 7), the cable network will release “Catch The Throne: The Mixtape” in advance of its season 4 debut on April 6 at 9 p.m. Featured artists include Wale, Big Boi, Common and Daddy Yankee, Snow Tha Product, Bodega Bamz, Magazeen and more.
The 10-track release from Launch Point Records will feature songs inspired by the storylines of the show’s first three seasons, according to Billboard. It will be available for download Friday at www.soundcloud.com/catchthethron.

Rapper and actor Common spotted out and about in West Hollywood, California on January 24, 2014
*Common just so happened to be working out at his Los Angeles gym when the crew from the upcoming “Entourage” movie were there shooting a scene with the actors.
Next thing you know, the “Hell on Wheels” star is in the movie.
Director Doug Ellin ran into the rapper-actor at Equinox last week and asked him if he’d like to appear in the movie. Common obliged and filmed his one-line cameo on the spot, according to the New York Post.
The “Entourage” movie, starring Jeremy Piven, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Jerry Ferrara and Kevin Dillon, is set to hit theaters next year.
*Its Oscar week and that means it’s time for the “ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood” luncheon.
The exclusive event honored the brightest stars at the Beverly Hills Hotel Thursday.
