Michael Ealy and Joy Bryant in “About Last Night”
*Can lasting relationships ever begin with sex on the first night?
That is the premise of the upcoming Valentine’s Day release “About Last Night,” starring Michael Ealy and Joy Bryant as a couple who try to stretch their one night stand into something more.
“It’s weird. The chances are greater that it’s not going to last, or it’s not going to work out, than they are that it will,” says Bryant, whose character Debbie Sullivan has given up on love when she meets Ealy’s Danny Martin at a bar. “She kind of figured, why bother if it’s not going to work out.”
*Paramount recently re-launched its television division with plans to raid its own movie library and team with experienced film and TV writers for series adaptations. The first fruit of this venture is a new pilot script based on the studio’s 1990 film “Ghost,” which won Oscars for best original screenplay (Bruce Joel Rubin) and supporting actress (Whoopi Goldberg).
The film follows the recently deceased Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze), who teams up with psychic Oda Mae Brown (Goldberg) in an effort to reconnect with his fiancee (Demi Moore) and avenge his murder.
No word yet on who will star in the TV version. Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman and veteran showrunner Jeff Pinkner will co-write the pilot script, according to Deadline.com.
Below, Oda Mae Brown’s most memorable scenes…

Rihanna seen leaving her hotel and heading to the airport in New York City, NY on March 18, 2012
*The tabloids say Rihanna was spotted making a late-night visit to the home of Demi Moore’s ex Ashton Kutcher.
According to RadarOnline, paps caught the singer leaving his Los Angeles mansion around 4 a.m. Thursday morning.
The site reports Rihanna made a four-hour visit to the “Two and a Half Men” star, but earlier in the night she was seen eating dinner with her friend Melissa Forde (not to be confused with former video vixen Melyssa Ford) at Giorgio Baldi’s in Santa Monica.
The 24-year-old, who makes her acting debut this May with “Battleship,” was dressed casually in denim short shorts, a loose shirt and red polka-dot heels as she left Kutcher’s home.
Ashton is in the middle of a divorce from his wife of six years, Demi Moore, but the 34-year-old has most recently been linked to screenwriter Lorene Scafaria, with whom he spent the holidays in Italy and had a laser-tag date earlier this month.
And despite rumors that Rihanna is hooking up with her ex Chris Brown, she says she’s single, and recently lamented not having a man in her life, telling Britain’s “The Jonathan Ross Show’: “Single life is so overrated. It sucks. I have such incredible experiences in my life. You don’t want to live your life and then meet someone. You want to share your life with someone. That’s what I’m missing right now.”
*Naked mom-to-be Mariah Carey channels her inner Demi Moore by strategically covering her private parts for the latest cover of Life & Style magazine.
“I was feeling very vulnerable about taking pictures at all right now, but then I didn’t want to miss this opportunity to document this once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Carey tells the publication. “My ultimate goal was to share this incredibly personal moment with my true fans.”
As previously reported, Nick Cannon said he decided to join his wife in the nude photo shoot, and now has some regrets.
“My children are going to have to see these pictures… It’s a little weird,” he said yesterday on his radio show. “When they get older and their friends come over… they will see the pictures and say, ‘Your daddy’s butt naked!’”
*Parents-to-be Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon recently got buck naked for a photo shoot, but the final images are displayed only within the privacy of their own home.
Due to welcome twins within weeks, Mariah decided to commemorate her impending motherhood by posing naked in the same vein as Demi Moore’s iconic Vanity Fair shot in 1991.
Cannon says he wanted to get in on the act and joined his wife for the intimate images, which now decorate their Los Angeles mansion, but the actor admits he’s already dreading the day his kids are old enough to realize the naked shoot isn’t normal.
“My children are going to have to see these pictures… It’s a little weird,” he said today on his radio show. “When they get older and their friends come over… they will see the pictures and say, ‘Your daddy’s butt naked!’”
