*Oprah Winfrey will join screenwriter, producer and director Diablo Cody at HBO for a comedy project based on Dr. Julie Holland’s book “Moody Bitches.”
The untitled show will explore “the truth about the drugs you’re taking, the sex you’re not having, the sleep you’re missing and what’s really making you crazy,” as understood by the books extended title.
Holland will be credited as co-exec producer while Cody will be credited as creator, penning the pilot script with Winfrey and her Harpo Films brand, which will produce.

*”The Help” star Octavia Spencer is planning to go under the knife later this year for breast augmentation surgery.
“I am going to get my boobs lifted,” the Oscar-nominated actress, 41, tells Parade. “That’s going to be my first gift. I figured going into my forties I want my boobs where they were when I was 17…
“Right after the Oscars I start a Diablo Cody movie. We’re taping out of the country for four months so I wouldn’t be back here until about August. I would want to do this around November. Then that way I could just relax until January.”

*Fresh from her standout performance in “The Help,” breakout star Octavia Spencer has signed on to star alongside Julianne Hough and Russell Brand in Oscar winner Diablo Cody’s untitled directorial debut.
The project, which was once titled “Lamb of God,” follows a young conservative religious woman (Hough) who loses her faith after a plane crash, decides to go to Las Vegas to live the life of a sinner, and on her journey finds her way back to her faith. Brand plays her unlikely companion who helps her find herself.
Spencer will play a card dealer who works at the same casino as Brand and wants to help her in her quest for sin. The movie is heading for a spring 2012 start.
Cody, an Oscar winner for “Juno,” penned Jason Reitman’s “Young Adult,” which Paramount will release in December.
