*Kanye West is said to be strongly against Kim Kardashian having any plastic surgery, fearing she may suffer the same fate of his mother in 2007.
The 36-year-old rapper has reportedly forbidden his girlfriend – who gave birth to the couple’s first child, daughter North, in June – from going under the knife to enhance her looks after his mother Donda West died following complications from a cosmetic procedure.
A source told RadarOnline.com: “Kim was certain that she wanted to have surgery after giving birth because she wanted a head start on losing her baby weight. Kanye told Kim in no uncertain terms that she needed to put her baby and her life first. He got pretty emotional because he really didn’t want her going through that kind of major surgery. He’s still traumatized from his mom’s death.”
Donda died in 2007 at the age of just 58 after suffering “multiple post-operative factors” following liposuction and breast-reduction surgery.
The source explained: “Kanye was devastated by her passing and it’s made him extremely protective of those he loves. He really put his foot down and told Kim the surgery ban is a condition of being with him.”
Meanwhile, 32-year-old Kim – who has admitted to having Botox in the past – has reportedly been following a grueling exercise regimen as well as the Atkins Diet in a bid to regain her pre-baby figure.
*Some rare footage of Kanye West and his mama was recently found.
The rapper and his late mother, Donda West, were recorded rapping together back in 2003.
In the clip, the two are hanging out, talking about old music and forgotten sounds. Then they both started rapping one of his lines together.
She asks her son how the song she “loved” ended up. Then he responds, “Nah, it’s good. That shows you if you have a rap that actually means something it’s good. It stands the test of time if you say something.”

The photo, a simple portrait of two gold chains (pictured above), was shot by photographer Fabien Montique for DONDA – the artistic collective West named after his late mother, Donda West. He announced the venture in a lengthy Twitter monologue about his experiences in the fashion industry in January.
“Kanye and I share a similar vision and think along the same lines creatively. So, when it came time to develop the imagery for my project, I trusted him and his team at DONDA to get the job done and communicate my sentiments,” 2 Chainz told Billboard.com. “They were the first people I thought of. Their team is unprecedented. Expect next level imagery, sonics and stage performance. This is curated art. The Louvre of rap.”
Kanye West (L) and 2 Chainz on BET’s “106 & Park”
West and 2 Chainz have been closely aligned in recent months, with West tweeting “2 Chainz is charging 100k for a verse now cause he’s G.O.O.D!!!!!!” in May and appearing at a 2 Chainz’s SXSW set in March.
2 Chainz’s “Based on a T.R.U. Story” is due Aug. 14 on Def Jam Records, a week after West’s upcoming G.O.O.D. Music collection, “Cruel Summer.”
One unfortunate aspect the two have in common is the death of a parent. West’s mother Donda died from complications from cosmetic surgery in 2007. Kim’s father Robert Kardashian died of cancer in 2003
”It’s very comforting to have someone that knows everything about you, that respects you, understands, has gone through the similar things,” she tells Winfrey for “Oprah’s Next Chapter.”
”I can really relate to his mother passing. He can really relate to my father passing. I mean, there’s so many similarities in our life that … I feel like I’m at a really happy, good space,” she said.

Kim – who split from husband Kris Humphries in October after just 72 days of marriage – had been friends with Kanye for ”six or seven years” before they started dating earlier this year and she thinks her previous experiences have helped their relationship.
”I don’t know why it took so long for us to get together, but I think I needed to go through all my experiences,” she said.
In the clip below, Kardashian tells Oprah she loves the company of older people, including boyfriend Kanye West.
*Kanye West got his Twitter on from London at 4 a.m. UK time this morning about his latest project, employing quotes from both George Bernard Shaw and Leonardo Di Vinci.
West’s new project is named Donda, after his mother. He began by writing, “Donda is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there [sic] dreams and ideas,” with a further goal to “help simplify and aesthetically improve everything we see hear, touch, taste and feel.”
Contributors to this project will be varied and numerous if Ye gets his way. Another post said those involved will include architects, graphic designers, directors, musicians, producers, A&R guys, writers, publicists, social media experts, actors, scientists, teachers, bankers, laywers, video game designers, publishers, clothing designers, DJs, car designers, managers, app guys, tech guys and nutritionists – minds “waaaay doper” than his own.
Another Tweet claimed he wanted to fix “broken systems” including the economy, the schools and the jails.

*British tabloids are reporting that Chicago-born rapper Kanye West is setting up shop in the UK.
The artist, according to The Sun newspaper, has obtained property in London and has decided to make the move from the US in a bid to focus on his new fashion label DW. He was reportedly overheard telling guests at a holiday party for the label held at The Embassy nightclub that he is going to spend most of his time in England in the New Year.
“He went home for the holidays but was proclaiming that he is now based in the capital and would return in early January,” a source told The Sun. “He’s close to the lecturers and students at the Central Saint Martins College (of Art and Design) and being in London means he can stop by for advice any time.
“He’ll be over here preparing his Paris Fashion Week show, due in March. He’s also been looking for a studio.
“While at the party Kanye was giving models his email address.”
Kanye launched his clothing line in October and named it after his late mother Donda West, who died in Nov. 2007 following complications from cosmetic surgery.
