Dorien Wilson, Lou Beatty, Jr., and Gregory Niebel, head up cast of encore performance
Los Angeles – The Things that Make Men Cry (TTTMMC), a stage play based on the acclaimed book by the same name, returns to the Barnsdall Gallery Theater.
The story follows two very different barbers, Joe and Mel, whose neighborhood barber shop is the “safe place for guy talk.”
Back by popular demand, the play explores how men of diverse backgrounds and ages deal with (or not) emotions of abandonment, marital issues, health, and manhood.
*Los Angeles, CA – Emmy Award winning actress Jackée (of TV’s “227,” “Sister Sister” and most recently a 4-year recurring role on “Everybody Hates Chris” and the subject of the one hour season opener of the “Life After” series on TV One) stars as “Sissy” in Don B. Welch‘s hit family drama, “A Change Is Gonna Come” – coming to The Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles, Saturday October 15, 2011, at 8:00pm.
‘Step into the lives of the Brockington family and witness how this close-knit, loving family break the bond of togetherness only to have it resurface again, stronger than before as each one realizes that in order to live, you must first love. – A modern day family dealing with modern day problems, searching for and finding a solution: “CHANGE.”
Also starring in the production are: Dorien Wilson (best known for the long running hit sitcom, “The Parkers” as Professor Oglevee) and Grammy nominated R&B sensation, Kenny Lattimore, co-starring is GiGi Bolden (“The Five Heartbeats”), Elisa Perry (“Everybody Hates Chris”), Stephen Slates (“The Bachelor Party”) Courtney D. Harris ( “Love Buddies”) and Jeffrey Groff ( “Macbeth”) The production is to be directed by Playwright/Director, Don B. Welch.
