*Monday night Funnyman Kevin Hart dropped in on “The Arsenio Hall Show” and played a game of “Wife, Side Girl, or Friend,” choosing from Mariah Carey, Kim Kardashian, and Paula Patton.
The “Real Husbands of Hollywood” actor also caught up with his BET co-stars Nelly, Duane Martin, and Bobby Brown to talk about the group’s hilarious attempt at male-bonding through attempted car thefts and poker addictions.

Actor JB Smoove speaks onstage during “The Millers” panel discussion at the CBS, Showtime and The CW portion of the 2013 Summer Television Critics Association tour at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on July 29, 2013 in Beverly Hills
*A premiere date has yet to be announced, but production on the 12-episode second season of BET’s “Real Husbands of Hollywood” is already in the can, according to cast member JB Smoove.
“You are gonna love the new season,” he told EURweb exclusively at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills on Monday. “The show did so well that everyone wants to be on it now.”
That includes talk show host Katie Couric, who joins Bobby Brown, Chris Rock and Anthony Anderson among the guests appearing in season 2.
“When you start getting guests like Katie Couric to do the show, that just shows you that the show’s crossing over,” said Smoove. “A lot of times we have the reverse crossover. The majority of the time it’s a black actor crossing over to a white show. But this time we’re pulling in a pretty well-balanced audience, which is really cool.”
Smoove returns with series creator Kevin Hart, Nick Cannon, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin and Nelly. The mock reality series follows their lives as husbands of celebrity wives (or in Nelly’s case, girlfriend). Robin Thicke bowed out for season two.
“I think people are going to get a chance this season to see more of the inside of what goes through our minds and our heads, and how we think; how vindictive we are and how petty we are,” added Smoove.
(L-R) Actors Beau Bridges, Will Arnett, Margo Martindale and JB Smoove speak onstage during “The Millers” panel discussion at the CBS, Showtime and The CW portion of the 2013 Summer Television Critics Association tour at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on July 29, 2013 in Beverly Hills
The 46-year-old North Carolina native was at the TCA to promote his role in the new CBS comedy “The Millers,” where he is the only person of color in a cast that includes Beau Bridges, Will Arnett, and Margo Martindale. He also reteams with his “Curb Your Enthusiasm” co-star Larry David for the upcoming HBO film “Clear History,” premiering Aug. 10 at 10 p.m.
In fact, Smoove’s Larry David connection has been a running joke among the real husbands, with Hart and company reminding him he is only hot among white people.
Below, the comic expounds.
The bottom line is that yes, Robin did quit, but it had nothing to do with Kevin hurting his feelings with his wicked humor.
Hart spoke to the peeps at HipHollywood.com and he insists that the two are definitely on speaking terms and it all good. He alluded to Robin’s music and his touring schedule as why he left.
His schedule and what he was doing didn’t coincide with the show so he opted to go and do his music … which is a great thing for him because he’s talented in both areas. Hopefully at some point in time we have Robin come back and do some more stuff. But this particular period, he wanted to go on and do better things for him.”
In the same HipHollywood.com video package, Duane Martin also put his two cents in as far as Robin’s departure. Believe it or not, he compared him to Bobby Brown and The Five Heartbeat’s Eddie Kane Jr. His reasoning was a bit convoluted to some degree, but basically he said that singers always leave groups. They go solo. Then they return. At that point he broke out into bizarre impression of Robin singing, “Nights Like This.”

*Kevin Hart’s rendition of reality television has won the hearts of fans everywhere.
With all of the extremely exaggerated doses of drama, “The Real Husbands of Hollywood” just got signed to a second season on BET.
Starring Kevin, Nick Cannon, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin, J.B. Smoove, and Robin Thicke, the comedy/parody series is the male version of all the “Real Housewives” franchise.
“When we launched this series in January, we knew our audience would have as much fun watching it as we had making it, and since it has been on the air, fans have voiced on social media that they want more,” said BET president, Stephen Hill. “So this was a pretty simple decision: ‘Hey! Let’s make more!’”
Four million viewers tuned in when the first episode aired. The season one finale will air later this month.
