North Carolina Pastor Rodney Wills, 26, was fired by church deacons in 11-3 vote from Mt. Salem Baptist Church for attending a Rick Ross concert, Saturday, August 3, 2013.
*Hip-hop has its share of thug rappers that carry out numerous heinous crimes on track and it’s your choice whether you listen to or are a fan of them.
But some of us are supposed to have a moral responsibility that would prevent support of people like this.
Rodney Wills, 26, has been pastor Mt. Salem Baptist Church in North Carolina for three years and entering his fourth as the deacons of the 109-year-old church voted 11-3, that Wills be ousted for attending a Rick Ross concert.
He returned to the church to find that he had his parking space removed as well as his name from its usual placement. But, this decision was not as immediate as it seems, according to Black America Web.
Chef Gordon Ramsay sit with Amy and Sammy Bouzaglo of the ABC Baking Company to try and fix their restaurant on the season finale of “Kitchen Nightmares”, Friday, May 10, 2013.
*The world met Chef Ramsay when he was hell on wheels on the show “Hell’s Kitchen” where he was the temper tantrum throwing master chef of a restaurant.
But, it appears, on his new show, he’s met his match.
Amy and Sammy Bouzaglo, the owners of Amy’s Baking Company in Scottsdale, Arizona, are over-the-top amateur restaurateurs, Sammy, a self-proclaimed “gangster,” and bullies that steal their servers tips.
They have hired and fired over a hundred employees in just a year’s time and Samy doesn’t recognize taking his servant’s tips as stealing because they pay an hourly wage.
Last Friday, Chef Ramsay’s “Kitchen Nightmares” came in to save the day and show them how a restaurant should be run, but nothing could be done for them…in the first time in the show’s history, according to the Huffington Post.
Rutgers Coach Mike Rice has been fired after government officials were outraged with video of his extreme coaching style was released on ESPN.
*When your kid takes up sports, you expect for them to be yelled at a bit, receive some crucial criticisms and maybe even physically pushed to get in position.
But, when the coach crosses the line of calling names, kicking, snatching, and hitting your kid, all bets are off! You might even say, “Hell! I could’ve done that!”
These are all elements of FORMER Rutgers coach Mike Rice’s program that have now lead him to the unemployment line.
Even Governor Chris Christie demanded answers from the university after seeing him bully the basketball team.
*A lot of us were happy to hear that “The View” was going to relieve Elisabeth Hasselbeck of her seat at the table.
But then it seemed that we got our hopes up for nothing because Barbara Walters refuted the claims saying that Elisabeth would indeed keep her seat at the table.
Now, the New York Post says differently. Their inside source has reported that Elisabeth will be leaving The View because they want to revamp the show due to low ratings.
According to the Huffington Post, the New York Post’s source claims that Hasselbeck has enemies within the show that leaked the information prematurely, so Barbara had to do some quick damage control.
*In April 2012, we brought you a story called “Racism in Restaurants Survey: ‘Inferior Service is Warranted’ Toward Blacks” and there were numerous comments and reports of undertipping and African American customers behaving badly.
Unfortunately, the newest incident going viral on the internet may or may not support these claims.
A St. Louis, Missouri, Applebee’s found themselves caught in a predicament between waitress Chelsea Welch and customer Pastor Alois Bell, 37, when Bell felt the automated tip of 18 percent was a bit much to pay her waitress when she doesn’t even give God that much, according to the Daily Mail and Bell’s receipt that was posted on Reddit by Welch:
Police shoot wrong man, Andrew Lee Scott, 26, in pursuit of an attempted murder suspect in Blueberry Hills Apartments in Lake County, Florida.
*The police around the country seem to need an overhaul on their training. It’s understandable that the job puts them in a catch 22 most of the time.
They are trying to protect and serve, yet they have no room for mistakes. Just like doctors, every procedure must be performed with precision and accuracy.
Because when someone is killed by police, they have to be absolutely sure they had no other option and that they have the right person. (more…)
