Knight sat down with Arsenio and addressed his pet peeves with record labels, contracts and the business side of the music industry.
The reality star rapper blames Roman for the break up with his fiancee Tiffney Cambridge and get this, “ruining his family.”
But should anyone really be worried Game’s family is ruined?
*Cash Money Records is a label that has been building its own army of music artists for the past few years and Game has just signed on as their latest soldier.
Young Money/Cash Money Records has been picking up both established and upcoming artists left and right and are confident in the business moves and quest for the top spot.
Compton rapper Game is now apart of Hip Hop’s most powerful labels.
YMCMB head Birdman broke the news on Twitter:
“S/O 2MY@thegame Westcoast makit Official.RICHGANG.YMCMBusine$$
Game released his latest mixtape, “OKE” (“Operation Kill Everything”) last week.
TMZ is reporting that right after Game signed the contract, right after he signed his contract, he dropped $40,000 on celebratory jewelry for himself AND his new boss.
A few days before the info went public, he prepped by hitting up Jason of Beverly Hills for a pair new diamond chains. One for himself and one for Birdman, the president of CMR.
Game ordered two pieces — one gold and one platinum — each sporting a diamond encrusted medallion featuring the Cash Money logo.
There was a catch — we’re told Game put a rush order on the jewelry ’cause he wanted it by the time he made the announcement.
Sources close to the deal say Jason’s team pulled back-to-back all nighters to make it happen … and even slept at the shop … but in the end, he met the deadline and everyone was happy.
All we can say is whateva. We hope it works out for everybody.
*On Sunday, rapper The Game went on a Twitter tirade about the restaurant Houston’s in Pasadena, CA refusing to serve him because of his tattoos.
“NEVER eating @ Houston’s restaurants as long as I live ! Denied service in Pasadena by mgr ‘Vy Diep’ because: I have tattoos on my arms ?!?” he wrote on the social media site.
“Its 90 degrees outside so I have a tank top on & the manager on duty ‘Vy Diep’ says the tattoos on my arms are threatening 2 lunch customers,” he added.
The rapper claims to have had problems with the restaurant chain before in a different location.
He fueled his complaints by creating the Twitter hashtag #DontEatAtHoustonsPasadena that generated response from many of his more than 1 million Twitter followers.
There has been no comment on the incident from the restaurant’s manager, Marvin Wells. According to E!, Wells said the restaurant has a strict dress code that requires all patrons to wear sleeves.
The Game instead dined at California Pizza Kitchen and took a photo with a manager on duty.
VH1 announced that season 2 of “Marrying The Game” is making it’s return on August 5 at 9:30 p.m. EST.
The two may not be together, but they are still forced to co-parent regardless of their differences. The pair called their engagement quits after a huge fight over a trip Game took overseas without Tiffney.
Tiffney is still hoping to have a normal and healthy relationship with the rapper. We will have to tune in to find out if she gets her way in the season premiere next month.
In other news…
*TV One has announced that it’s new spin off series “R&B Divas: LA” is a hit and has set a record. The network said in a statement that “R&B Divas: LA” was the most watched show on TV One for the year.
“The interest in R&B Divas LA has been overwhelming. The journey these six women take over the course of this season, and their willingness to share it with TV One’s viewers, has been incredible,” TV One president and CEO Alfred Liggins said in a statement. “We are enormously pleased our audience has responded so enthusiastically.”
Nope, Game told TMZ outside of Katsuya in Hollywood Saturday night, that D12 is a “stand up” guy and haters, er, former fans need to just move on. However, he will be torching Howards jersey. Huh?
You need to see his devilish response below for it to make sense.
Meanwhile, the Kobester is plenty pissed about Howard bolting to Houston. As far as he’s concerned, burning Dwight’s jersey isn’t good enough. He’s punishing him where it really hurts. You see, Kobe’s already UNfollowed Howard on Twitter.
Oh yeah, supposedly Pau Gasol also unfollowed Howard — but reportedly punked out and changed his mind 20 mins later.
