*Mr. Terius Nash a/k/a The Dream … even though it was of his own doing … the poor guy is going through a lot lately: we’re talking baby mama drama, claims of being a bad dad, and now he’s got women trying to get at his money over social networking.
“I have no strife with Christina for I know this life is To Long sometimes you fight those u love most. I’m sure none of what I’ve written that actually has a Name attached will get noticed. lol,” he recently stated on Twitter. “I apologize 4 the Misunderstanding I’m way to blessed for that. Fasting on Negativity nothing but positive quotes will come from here, as I see my Voice is pretty loud these days.”
*Vanessa Bryant doesn’t have such a good gene pool, says her ex-step-daddy.
Stephen Laine, now an inventory manager for a food company who was once married to Vanessa’s mother, told TMZ that the soon-to-be ex-wife of famed NBA star Kobe Bryant, will take the athlete to the bank on the divorce.
Laine said it’s in her genes.
“Her mother taught her well to wait for the ten-year mark [before divorcing],” Laine informed. “In California … it’s considered a long term marriage and then she gets paid for life or until she remarries … just like her mother is doing to me.”
*Kanye West played more than an hour-long set Saturday night at a Red Granite Pictures party in Cannes attended by such stars as Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper.
Clad in a white suit, West kicked off the performance with a “What up France?” shoutout that was met with cheers, whistles and general hysteria.
Then Jamie Foxx took the stage for a duet of their hit “Gold Digger” during a set that mixed hip-hop, R&B, and ballads.
Pharrell Williams opened the event with a 20-minute set introduced by a massive fireworks display.
The concert was organized by new-to-the-scene movie financing group Red Granite as a way to introduced itself to the movie industry. The Los Angeles-based company came on board the DiCaprio starrer “The Wolf of Wall Street” earlier during the festival.
Meanwhile, these photos of Kanye kissing some random woman on the balcony of his Cannes hotel room Sunday also made headlines.
*Kanye West ended this weekend’s Coachella music festival on an emotional note by dedicating his headlining set to his late mother.
The rapper took the stage Sunday night to bring the Indio, California event to a close following three days of performances from bands including Arcade Fire and The Strokes.
According to WENN, West began the show suspended high above the crowd on a futuristic crane, performing his first track, Power, as he was carried to the main stage, where he was greeted by 30 ballet dancers.
He went on to rock his hit singles “Gold Digger,” “Stronger” and “Love Lockdown,” while he was joined by Pusha T, his only special guest, for “Runaway.” He was watched from the VIP area by the likes of Usher, Dave Chappelle and Erykah Badu.
As the concert was coming to an end, the artist announced his Coachella set was the “most important show” since his mother, Dr. Donda West, died suddenly in 2007 after suffering fatal complications from cosmetic surgery.
West added, “This show is dedicated to my mother,” before closing with his track, “Hey, Mama.”
However, the rapper’s spectacular show may have landed him in trouble with festival organizers – he started his performance late and is now reportedly facing a hefty fine after running over the midnight curfew by 20 minutes.
*B.o.B. may have been calling himself a good community member when he lent his talent to a flight of passengers along a recent Delta flight to Los Angeles.
After being introduced by a flight attendant, the rapper performed his oh so appropriate Grammy nominated track, “Airplanes” accompanied by the actual track queued up on a cell phone.
But can we say copycat! Just three months before his stint, Kanye West did something deathly close when he also delivered a few lines from his hits “Gold Digger” and “Good Life” also on a Delta flight.
