*Online security seems to be a joke these days.
The government gets hacked, the websites get hacked, Facebook is spamming up folks pages from hacks.
What’s going on? The latest security breach that was set to shut down users Internet capability on Monday was bad enough, but now comes another one hitting the free e-mail and Internet provider sites.
Yahoo! had to send out an alert Thursday that a security breach involving the theft of over 400,000 users’ passwords may have spilled over to other popular e-mail providers like Gmail, AOL, and Hotmail, according to the New York Times. (more…)
*Lil Wayne’s Twitter account has been hacked and somebody’s trying to start some hip hop mess by using the site to throw blows of poison at other rappers and sending some suspect messages to fans and followers.
On Sunday, Jan. 16, Weezy announced that someone had illegally tapped into his account and began to post strange and, er, interesting messages.
Some of the messages sent to fellow rappers were quite explicit and very unnecessary. 50 Cent got a message, and so did Soulja Boy, The Game, and a few others.
For instance, a tweet Soulja said: “I sent a donations (sic) to your Paypal, check it, I heard you got 13,000 (record) sales lil homie, I feel bad for you!”
On top of sending out fake messages to Lil Wayne’s fellow artists, the prankster also took the time to make fun out of Weezy’s time in jail:
“The real reason I made [new single] 6’7 is cuz that’s how tall the n***a in rikers was that raped me.”
And this: “I went an entire year with kissing baby #withdrawls.”
The Young Money star has since decided to delete his Twitter account until he can get a handle on things.
Lil Wayne’s Twitter account had been hacked into last year as well, resulting in rumors and more headaches. It’s hard out there for a celebrity.
