Red carpet arrivals at ‘The Butler’ Premiere at Regal Cinemas in Los Angeles on August 12, 2013
*A central Kentucky theater owner who trained pilots during the Vietnam War is refusing to show the nation’s No. 1 movie, “Lee Daniels’ The Butler,” because co-star Jane Fonda was an outspoken opponent of the conflict.
Ike Boutwell owns MoviePalace and Showtime Cinemas in Elizabethtown. He tells The News-Enterprise he won’t show the popular film about a butler who served eight U.S. presidents because it has Fonda starring as former first lady Nancy Reagan, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Boutwell said Fonda’s statements and demonstrations against the Vietnam War caused him to view her as a traitor, and he won’t show any movie involving her in his theaters.
The Korean War veteran said: “I trained hundreds of pilots to fly, many of whom Ms. Fonda clapped and cheered as they were shot down.”

*Oprah Winfrey sits down with Oscar-winning actress Jane Fonda and her adopted African-American daughter Mary Williams for their first-ever interview together on “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” airing Sunday, April 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on OWN.
Williams grew up in Oakland as a member of the Black Panther Party, as chronicled in her recently released memoir The Lost Daughter. Williams was one of six children raised by a single mother after Mary’s father was sent to prison. At age 13, Mary was invited to attend the Laurel Springs Children’s Camp run by Jane Fonda and her then-husband, Tom Hayden. There, her bond with Jane grew strong. One year later, Jane invited Mary to live with her in Santa Monica, California.
On “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” mother and daughter tell Oprah how they met, and Williams shares what it was like becoming a part of Fonda’s Hollywood life. Fonda’s biological son Troy Garity, who starred in “Barbershop” and the Starz series “Boss,” also joins the conversation, discussing what it was like to have Williams come into their family.

Mary Williams on Being Invited to Live with Jane Fonda: “I Didn’t Even Think About It”
We say that because she’s preparing for life after reality TV and the fact that even though she’s a looker, she’s no spring chicken.
With that in mind, we hear she’s decided to focus on fitness, ala Jane Fonda. And according to TMZ, Lozada, 36, has already made her first move in that direction in the form of a big money endorsement deal.
According to our sources, the “Basketball Wives” star has signed on to endorse an organic and caffeine free energy shot called youthH20. We’re told the deal was for a whopping six-figures, but Lozada has her eyes set on bigger things.
Our sources say Lozada is also close to signing on to create her own brand of workout videos as well as a deal to become the face of a workout equipment company. Judging from the pic below she recently posted on Instagram … it’s easy to see why.
Yep, Evelyn knows “Wives” won’t last forever so now’s the time to start strategizing the next phase, a workout empire. Remember, Jane Fonda made millions off of her workout videos.
Kim Kardashian surrounded by photogs at The Grove/LA (photo by Kathy Williamson)
*Kim Kardashian launched her newest retail venture, a Brissmor signature watch collection, last night at the Whisper Lounge at The Grove in Los Angeles.
Three risers of paparazzi spilled over as photogs clamored to get a shot. The red carpet was really a white carpet, every inch sprinkled carefully with glitter by two hard-working staffers.
A few shoppers were inconvenienced by the event when they found that they had to retrace their steps in order to find another exit to their autos. Another long line wrapped around the east side of the shopping center for a Jane Fonda book signing. Such a busy Tuesday night!

Kim was ushered from a black Cadillac Escalade by two human Nutcracker men to the white sparkly carpet where she greeted reporters and took the obligatory photos, before darting inside the Whisper Lounge for her waiting guests.
