*Uh oh, Bow Wow is being accused of neglecting his little baby girl.
According to the sister of his baby’s mama, he’s not an active father in the child’s life, calling him a dead beat daddy.
Joie Chavis claims he’s only seen his daughter a few times and doesn’t provide for her. She also says Bow Wow makes himself out to be a great dad by posting photos she sends him.
Joie also blasted mama Bow Wow for caring to see the baby but three times since she’s been born.
It’s a hott mess.
*Bow Wow’s baby’s mama is finally speaking up for herself regarding her relationship with the rapper/actor and the child’s birth certificate.
Video vixen Joie Chavis said she is not to blame for Bow Wow’s name being excluded on their child’s documents and she wasn’t the one to leak the info.
“I wasn’t gonna address this because I’m tired of the drama,” she tweeted in a statement, adding that she felt like the gossip site twisted her arm on the matter. “I was put in an uncomfortable spot. They practically backed me into a corner, saying they were going to run a story anyway.”
She added that TMZ has made her look like a bitter parent and accuses them of twisting her words to form a terrible picture of her.
“I was asked a question, answered it truthfully and somehow my words were twisted and manipulated,” Joie explained. “I in no way wish to speak badly of my child’s father, and definitely would not leak my daughter’s birth certificate, which I myself don’t even have in my possession.”
She concluded in her letter to the public that she and Bow Wow are getting along with how they are raising their daughter Shai.
“We as parents are beyond happy about our new blessing and we’re both looking forward to this positive and bright future for our daughter,” Joie wrote.
*More info is coming out about Bow Wow and the birth of his daughter. According to tmz, it seems the mother, Joie Chavis was so upset with the rapper/actor for not being present for the baby’s birth, she never put his name on the child’s birth certificate. (See photo below of document with missing entry.)
Chavis tells TMZ … she was shocked that B.W. wasn’t there for her when she went under the knife for an emergency C-section on April 27. And if Bow Wow’s excuse was squeamishness, it didn’t explain his absence in the days that followed.
He finally showed up on the 6th day of the baby’s life, to take them home.
Pissed as she was, Joie tells us Bow Wow has turned it around and now is all about baby Shai.
Joie says she’s now willing to let bygones be bygones and put Bow Wow on the document, but it’s going to take a judge to make that happen.
*Rapper/actor Bow Wow says he is overwhelmed by the show of fan support he’s received since revealing the struggles he has faced in recent months and his life as a new dad.
As previously reported, the 24-year-old welcomed baby daughter Shai Moss with his ex-girlfriend Joie Chavis last month, but he kept quiet about the news until this week when he published an open letter online, gushing about his newborn.
In the note, he claimed his “lil girl” has made him realize his role in life and her arrival helped him overcome a very dark period in his life.
Bow Wow’s Twitter.com blog was flooded with messages of love and support after he went public with his feelings on his website, and he admits he never expected to receive such a strong and positive response.
“I’m so used to the media and everybody talking about the bad stuff or the stuff that is really not that important that shouldn’t be out there for fans to see rather than focus on the things that really matter,” he tells Russell Simmons at GlobalGrind.com. “I just woke up and felt a certain way and felt like the world was on me… like it (baby news) was a secret everybody was asking me (about) and I just felt like, ‘OK, it’s either now or never.’ I just really wrote it (letter) from the heart, so when everybody accepted it… I couldn’t believe it! I was like ‘Oh man, this is crazy!’
“Even Tyrese, who’s a good friend of mine, called me and was like, ‘Man, you don’t even know what you just did.’ He said, ‘You just made my week because you’re the first young African-American… you have a chance to have every male your age and younger who has kids now… You can make them step up and become better men now.’
“When he told me that I was like, ‘Wow, I didn’t even think about that and I never had my father in my life… ever! So this just makes me want to step up and just go harder even more and give her (baby daughter) everything my father never gave (me).”
