Will Ferrell is back as Ron Burgundy in Paramount Picture’s Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues
Will Ferrell (right) is back as Ron Burgundy in the Paramount Pictures presentation of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
*“This time we’re dealing with race,” said Adam McKay director of the Paramount Pictures’ release of the sequel, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, of the 2004 original film (acquired from DreamWorks). Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues stars Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy, a very popular 1970’s news anchor in San Diego’s on Channel 4. “Meagan Good is manager of the whole network. She’s an ass kicker, brilliant graduate of the Columbia School of Journalism. She’s over qualified. She’s a minority but kick’s their asses. She’s beautiful and a great addition to the cast.”
This sequel is written by McKay and Ferrell. The Rated PG comedy follows the anchor and his crew as they get back together to return to television as the new news crew for Channel 4, run by Linda Jackson (Meagan Good). His crew consists of Christina Applegate, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, and David Koechner. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues also stars Harrison Ford, Vince Vaughn, Fred Willard, Chris Parnell, and Luke Wilson.
Produced by Ferrell, McKay and Judd Apatow the hilarious project has a long list of cameos that include Nicole Kidman, Jim Carrey, Tina Frey, Sacha Baron Cohen, Will Smith, Drake, Kanye West and Green Day.
The Apatow and Gary Sanchez production arrives at theaters December 18, 2013.
Jonathan Butler gives his soul vocally on new holiday project, ‘Merry Christmas To You’
Two-time Grammy Award nominated Jonathan Butler releases “Merry Christmas To You.”
*“The songs are familiar and classics, and I wanted to do it a little different, more personal…more soulful,” said two-time Grammy Award nominated R&B/Jazz Fusion guitarist Jonathan Butler about his singing that dominated this his new holiday project, “Merry Christmas To You.” “My voice has always been there…it’s just that on this record it’s more exposed and not overly produced.”
Released on Artistry Music, Butler’s album offers 10 selections. After listening I was left wondering why he is not considered one of the great vocalists. “Merry Christmas to You” is produced by Jonathan with music support from Rick Braun, Dave Kos and Paul “Shilts” Weimer.
My favorites on the album, though every single song is perfection, includes the classic “This Christmas” because his vocals really shine out; his original and title track “Merry Christmas To You”; “Happy Holidays,” another Butler original; “Little Drummer Boy” because he starts talking in his native South African dialect and the drum beats were very impressive; “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” for the beautiful vocal acrobats he offers; “O Holy Night,” a sweet and powerful love song, and “The First Noel” which offers another vocal masterpiece.
Jonathan Butler is currently on the “Dave Koz and Friends Christmas Tour” with Oleta Adams and Kieko Matsui. The tour started the day after thanksgiving and will end December 22, 2013 in San Francisco. Learn more about the “Merry Christmas To You” album release and his appearances at www.JonathanButler.com.
