*Singer Jason Derulo and his girlfriend Jordin Sparks have have sealed their love with matching tattoos.
There are no pics of the ink, but tells British newspaper the Daily Star, “On my right elbow there’s a ‘more than’ sign and ‘yesterday’ which is a matching tattoo which Jordin and I both got. It means ‘I’ll love you more than yesterday’ and we always strive to be more than yesterday.”
Derulo has been dating the “American Idol” winner since early 2012 and they were recently rumored to be engaged after Derulo pretended to propose to Sparks in his “Marry Me” video.
The importance of the inkings is echoed in the title of his latest album, “Tattoo,” with Derulo saying, “It is called Tattoo because… body art… stays with us for the rest of our lives. Our life experiences help create how beautiful a person is – the same as body art.”
*Drake and Rihanna reportedly met up over dinner at NYC’s Sons of Essex Friday night. The two were in town for the VMAs that weekend and apparently used the event to make plans to reunite.
Sources said Drake was with another female friend and a group of 10 when he arrived at the restaurant at 10p.m. and sat in the back. Rihanna reportedly came in alone an hour later, and sat across from Drake. The group ordered a round of shots.
“They were in very good spirits and were dancing and singing. Drake and Rihanna seemed to be just friends enjoying a fun night out,” a restaurant patron reported.
Fans attempted to snap shots of the reunion, but bouncers eventually stopped that. Rihanna and Drake left the restaurant separately*Jason Derulo just popped the question to Jordin Sparks, well, in his new song that is.
The pop singer recently dropped a song called “Marry Me.” While Jason did admit that Jordin inspired the song, they wont be walking down the aisle just yet.
“It is about Jordin, actually, and it’s talking about how amazing it will be when I get down on one knee and it will be the greatest moment of my life,” he told E! News. “When the time is right, it will be right.”
Although he hasn’t proposed yet, he did practice during his recent performance of “Marry Me,” where he got down on one knee while singing it to his love, Jordin.
*Michelle Obama has been singing this tune for a long time: We must put an end to childhood obesity!
Now she has help. She is partnering with Hip-Hop Public Health and Partnership for a Healthier America to release “Songs for a Healthier America” on September 30th. The hip hop album comes complete with 10 music videos and 19 tracks to support her “Let’s Move!” nutrition program.
The single “Everybody” features the first lady joined by songstress Jordin Sparks, emcee Doug E. Fresh, and medical expert Dr. Oz.
The video shows children of all ages dancing lightheartedly between takes of kids exercising.
“Everybody tell somebody, it’s your body. C’Mon,” croons Sparks on the chorus; while Doug E. Fresh and Dr. Oz trade short verses about exercise and cardiac health.
“For years I have known that we need to reach children in the formative years to educate them to live a life of prevention,” said Dr. Mehmet Oz. “The best way to do this is to build a bridge with the artists that they see on television and listen to. When someone like Doug E. Fresh shows our youngsters that health can be fun and cool, we are winning the battle.”
Some other songs on the album include “Veggie Luv”, “Hip Hop LEAN”, and “Get Up Sit Up” most of which will be hip-hop based, according to U.S. News and World Reports.
“This album is about more than just a great message and it’s about more than great music,” said PHA’s Chief Marketing Officer Drew Nannis. “It’s about making the healthy choice the easy choice… The simple act of getting up and dancing is a great way to get active and this album – and the dozens of generous musicians who helped make it possible – can help show us how. The added motivation of trying to do the Dougie better than Dr. Oz doesn’t hurt either.”
Michelle Obama launched the campaign to fight childhood obesity on February 9, 2010 and has been personally involved throughout the years. She has traveled to visit schools, pushed for healthier lunches, and even hosted community sports programs on the South Lawn of the White House. She was even spotted doing the “dougie” with students during a visit to promote physical health.
The full tracklist and Songs for a Healthier America album is available for free on the Partnership for a Healthier America’s website.
