*Kandi Burruss isn’t one of the confrontational characters of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” but don’t take it for granted that she won’t throw blows.
The reality television star admitted she almost got into a boxing matching with the unofficial housewife Marlo Hampton during taping on March 16th.
“I’m not feeling her at all-that’s no secret,” Kandi told website WetPaint.com. “I mean, for a minute there, the reunion almost turned into a different kind of show.”

But it probably wasn’t Kandi’s fault. According to the show’s staffers, Marlo had been acting up all season long, likely trying to show the producers she can start drama too.
“I think she was trying to get a job and stay on ‘Housewives’ because right now, she’s NOT a housewife,” Kandi mused. “But it doesn’t look like she accomplished anything because she’s still not a housewife, and I don’t think she ever will be.”
The singer however, didn’t allow herself to fly off the handle just yet, remembering she’s got her reputation on the line and other, more important things in the works like “The Kandi Factory.”
“I’ve been told I’ll film the new season of ’Housewives’ first, then go straight into taping ’The Kandi Factory’, so I’ll be taping all year long. It’s going to be a very busy year!”
*We’re only a week away from the premiere of the Kandi Burruss reality show, “The Kandi Factory.”
Yep, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star has taken a bit of her own shine and got a Bravo show all her own.
“In this special, Burruss will give two protégés, with no music industry experience, the opportunity to come to Atlanta where she will write an original song for each based on their personal stories. The amateurs will then have the chance to work with her team of experts – comprised of a producer, choreographer and stylist – to master the key elements that make a pop star,” reports Bravo. “Burruss has identified three factors that have to fit together to create a pop sensation: the song, the look and the performance.”
“The Kandi Factory” premieres on Bravo, Sunday March 4 at 10 p.m.
*Kandi Burruss is not stopping her career growth and life for anyone. She recently got herself hooked up with a new man, but it wasn’t easy.
“I have met someone that I’m really in to. It’s really hard when you’re working a lot, you’re single, you’re a parent and you’re trying to date because you don’t have that much free time. But you don’t want to be single forever, so you still want to work in that quality time. It’s not easy but it’s necessary.”
And being an entrepreneur and dating is a challenge. She explained in an Essence interview that business must come before the man until she or any woman is married.
“I feel like a lot of times men are more successful than us because they always put their stuff first,” she said. “If we’re all caught up in a dude, we’re like, ‘Oh, you know I don’t want to leave.’ We’re going to do everything so we can keep catering to this man and slack off in our business. Guys tell us, ‘Look baby I gotta get this money,’ and we understand. Well ladies, you gotta take that same type of mentality and he just has to understand that you gotta do what you gotta do and that you’ll be back.”
The Kandi girl was asked about her new show on Bravo, “The Kandi Factory.”
“Well, the first episode is a special and they are going to green-light the series depending on the ratings. I’m excited, reality TV is fun and everything, but it’s something I do on the side. ‘The Kandi Factory’ is actually going to show people what I do for a living: music. It’s similar to what I did for Kim, where I take somebody people didn’t really consider to be an “artist” and help them have a real song.”
