*Anderson Cooper let it all hang out and got real mean with a fellow flight member on a recent flight on United Airlines.
During a visit on “Kathy,” the new Kathy Griffin show on Bravo, the television journalist shared an incident he had with an amateur paparazzo.
As he was attempting to get some private shut eye, he noticed the man in front of him was taking his picture.
“I’m sitting there incredulous that he thinks I don’t see him … and he’s still taking the pictures,” Cooper said. “Normally I would just be like, we’re not gonna win this one. But lately I’ve become emboldened, and I grab the guy on the shoulder, and I said something to the effect of, ‘Bitch, what the f*ck are you doing?’”
Whoa, hold it there Anderson.
“It was one of those things, as soon as I said it, I was like ‘I can’t believe I just said this to a guy,” he commented.
Adding to the awkward moment, he mentioned famous figure skater Johnny Weir was sitting right next to him.
Well, at this point, the “bitch” might as well post the photos online so we can all see Anderson Cooper’s own “bitchassness,” too.
*CBS announced today that Mike Tyson and Reggie Bush will be a part of its new reality series “Same Name,” premiering Sunday July 24 at 9 p.m.
The show places its celebrity guest stars in the lives of someone who happens to share their name. Viewers will watch as each person takes over the other’s job and personal life.
Former heavyweight champ Tyson will travel to Zeeland, Mich. to take over for nurse, Mike Tyson, while New Orleans Saints running back Bush finds out what it’s like to be a general contractor from Danville, Ill. when he takes over his namesake’s life.
Kathy Griffin and David Hasselhoff are also participating. Griffin will trade places with Kathy Griffin, a fiberglass saleswoman from Fayetteville, Ga.; David Hasselhoff appears in the series premiere when he tries on a Lake Jackson, Texas resident’s personal and professional life as a technician/landscaper and vice versa.
*Isaiah Mustafa, the very attractive black man known for his Old Spice gig, addressed the rumors circulating about him supposedly dating comedian Kathy Griffin.
“Let me just dispel all rumors right now… I am not dating Ann Coulter,” the actor laughed. “I love Kathy, she’s great; she’s a powerhouse, a hilarious, funny, intelligent person, but I’m a single man.”
Ooh la la! Single ladies out there, get your best face on because he’s single!
In other news, he is also being considered one of Cosmo’s fun and fearless males. He’s excited about the honor.
“It’s amazing. Anytime you can get in front of 1.8 million women at once, that’s a good thing,” Mustafa said to Extra!
*Not only did comedian Kathy Griffin show off her new “starvation body” at the VH1 Divas Salute the Troops concert Friday night, she also incurred a round of boos by daring to insult Bristol Palin and her weight.
“She’s the only contestant in the history of the show to actually gain weight,” Kathy said of Bristol’s long run on “Dancing With the Stars” as the troops loudly booed.
“No, come on, come on,” she continued. “She gained like 30 pounds a week, I swear to God, it was fantastic. She’s like the white Precious.” [Scroll down to watch.]
As expected, Bristol has responded.
In a statement to Fox News’ Pop Tarts, she writes: “The audience’s reaction to this ‘comedian’ spoke volumes, and the decent people I know would probably have booed her, too. I hope people didn’t have to pay money to hear her negativity and criticisms.”
Kathy has famously flirted with Levi Johnston, the father of Bristol’s child, and even joked she was pregnant with his baby.
*Guess what co-host of “The View” all but guaranteed a plum spot in Kathy Griffin’s next standup act?
The very liberal star of Bravo’s “Life on the D-List” appeared on the show Tuesday to promote her reality series, and things went exactly as expected with the comedian’s frequent subject, uber-conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
Whoopi Goldberg is away for two weeks filming Tyler Perry’s “For Colored Girls” in Atlanta, and Barbara Walters is off for the summer to recuperate from heart surgery. That left Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd and Hasselbeck to deal with Griffin, whose past visits to the show have all ended up in her comedy act – including an appearance the day after her good friend and former “View” co-host Rosie O’Donnell got into the infamous split-screen showdown with Hasselbeck.
After giving Griffin the cold shoulder for most of the interview, Elisabeth said toward the end: “You’ve said things about people here that are a) untrue and b) not so funny, so do you ever feel weird like coming here and sitting here and promoting things when you’ve said some stuff?”
“Actually, this moment is what I live for, so bring it,” Kathy grinned. “This is how I write my act.” [Watch exchange below.]
In a 2008 interview with The Windy City Times, Griffin said, “Elizabeth Hasselbeck has snowed American audiences into not knowing that she is a f***ing ‘Survivor’ reject. I am sorry — I am going to listen to the political beliefs of someone who wore wacky scarves on Survivor?”
