*Whitney Houston‘s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has reportedly lined up a couple of powerhouse mentors in her quest to become a pop star like her late mother.
Radar Online is reporting that Mariah Carey and former “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson are serving as her advisors.
“Mariah and Randy were close friends of Whitney’s and were heartbroken after she died suddenly in 2012. They kept in touch. Now Randy has decided he wants to make a full court press to help Bobbi Kristina become a star– and Mariah told him she wanted in, too!” a source close to music producer Jackson told Radar.
*On the heels of her BET Honors performance of new single “You’re Mine (Eternal),” Mariah Carey released a teaser video today revealing the release date of her long-delayed next studio album.
“You’re Mine (Eternal)” is due out on Wednesday (Feb. 12), and the follow-up to 2009′s “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” is now due on May 6.
The album was supposed to hit the streets last July, but the singer delayed the album and then had to recover from a shoulder injury she suffered filming a music video last summer. The album has been previewed by “#Beautiful,” her Top 20 hit with Miguel, as well as the track “The Art of Letting Go,” which was released in November.

Perched on a piano and clad in a floor-length black gown and matching elbow-length gloves, the 43-year-old singer debuted the tune “You’re Mine.”
Jennifer Hudson, Janelle Monae, Tamar Braxton and Ludacris also performed at the awards show, which took place Saturday night at the Warner Theater.
