*Ticket discounter Goldstar National has declared Debbie Allen and the choreographer’s school the winner of the 7th annual contest that crowns the best version of “The Nutcracker” in the land.
The Debbie Allen Dance Academy’s show, “The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker” that was mounted earlier this month in Los Angeles, beat out nearly 60 other productions of “The Nutcracker.” It’s Allen’s second time winning the award, reports the Associated Press.
So naturally someone wanted to know if she and hubby Nick Cannon plan to have more kids. The diva half jokingly replied:
“If Nick [Cannon] could have the babies himself, then yeah, bring ‘em on. We love kids,” said Carey. “Here’s the thing, this is real. I’m responsible for the kids until like forever. I look at it like they didn’t ask for this lifestyle, but here they are.”
*She obviously wasn’t getting enough attention is one of many thoughts that came to mind upon learning that Mariah Carey was out walking her dog … in the snow in a … red bikini! “Warming up for the hottub moments!” wrote Carey with a finger to her lips in one of the fiery flicks.

*The Human Rights Foundation is calling out Mariah Carey for her recent concert in Angola, calling the nation’s president, José Eduardo dos Santos, a “notoriously corrupt” dictator, notes The Hollywood Reporter.
Carey performed a two-hour concert on Sunday at a gala for the Angolan Red Cross that was sponsored by mobile phone company Unitel. Dos Santos’ daughter Isabel owns Unitel and serves as president of the Angolan Red Cross. Dos Santos has reportedly ordered the deaths of many politicians, journalists and activists who oppose him.
*Mariah Carey sported two festive dresses to perform at the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting ceremony in New York on Tuesday.
The recorded performance will air tonight on NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center”special, which also features performances by Mary J. Blige, Ariana Grande, Toni Braxton and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Kelly Clarkson, the Goo Goo Dolls and Jewel.
The tree lighting goes back to when Rockefeller Center opened, during the Depression. The first tree had 700 lights, and this one will feature some 45,000 LED lights.
The 12-ton, 80-foot tall Norway spruce from Shelton, Conn., will take center stage as it is lit up at 8 p.m. It will be topped with a Swarovski crystal adding another 9 1/2 feet to the tree.
“Today” anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Natalie Morales host the special, which airs tonight (Dec. 4) at 8 p.m. ET.
