There was some fan backlash around the Super Bowl spot for being too short, for making fans go online to see more, and for not showing enough.
Written and directed by Joss Whedon, the Marvel superheroes film also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston and Stellan Skarsgard.
The Disney film arrives in theaters on May 4. Watch the trailer below.

*He was cast months ago, but it’s only now been revealed what character Derek Luke will be playing in the upcoming “Captain America: First Avenger” for Marvel Studios.
Blackfilm has confirmed that Luke will play Gabe Jones, an original member of the elite Howling Commandos combat squad of World War II.
In comics lore, Jones was the first African-American to serve in an integrated unit and a close confidante to Sergeant Nick Fury, to be played by Samuel L. Jackson). Jones would later join Fury as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The cast also includes Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones, Dominic Cooper, Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, and Neal McDonough.

*The Marvel Studios presentation at Comic-Con Saturday presented surprise guest Samuel L. Jackson to introduce the all-star cast of its forthcoming film “Avengers.”
Just as the company’s panel was winding down, the actor took the stage before some 6,000 fans to bring out stars Clark Gregg, Scarlett Johannson, Chris Hemsworth of “Thor” and Chris Evans of “Captain America.”
He then introduced another surprise guest, Robert Downey Jr., who brought out the rest of the cast, including Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner.
“The Avengers” is based on the comic book series of the same name, which brings various Marvel superheroes together. The film is due in 2012.
