*Steve Harvey launched the 4th Annual Steve Harvey Mentoring Weekend for Young Men on Thursday.
The philanthropist and entertainer is empowering young men without fathers from the Dallas-area and around the country.

For four days and three nights, over 100 teenagers will interact with other men and mentors who will teach on principles of manhood and dream building. They’ll participate in several workshops as well, which include You Can Be Me session on careers, a Do-It-Yourself workshop, Tied to Greatness and Suit challenge, barbershop grooming, Dream Hall, Town Hall with Harvey on the Roles and Responsibilities of Men.
Also over the weekend, Steve has welcomed ten young men from previous years to serve as junior counselors.
Teens are selected through an application process in which thousands of young men submit essay to be a part of the challenging, yet rewarding weekend.

*Steve Harvey is expanding his much sought after mentoring weekend (Oct. 7-9) to the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
The event will include mentorship opportunities for 100 young men who are without involved fathers. Workshops and activities will help teens navigate through the challenges in life with a bit more ease and understanding. They will also learn how to dress professionally and become competitive in the workforce.
Participants will get the training and encouragement they need to build a strong foundation for a successful future. Special guests will bring their experience from entertainment and education to business and health.
Applicants must come form a single female-headed household in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut, be 13-18 years old and enrolled in high school. Candidates may be nominated or voluntary.
