*NBA power forward Lorenzen Wright went missing over a week ago, and his family is beginning to suspect foul play.
Wright’s sister, Adriane Harris, told The Memphis Commercial Appeal that Wright has been out of touch before, but “not to this extent.”
Harris said Wright was last seen at a Memphis barbershop on July 19, where he had his hair cut. Harris did not say who she suspects would have harmed Wright or why, noting only he’s always been reachable.
The family filed a missing persons report with police, who said they don’t suspect foul play. “There’s just no information to make us draw that conclusion,” said Lt. Norm Dixon of the Collierville police.
“There is nothing on his phone records, no bank transactions, his vehicles are still at his house in Smyrna,” “It’s like he literally dropped off the face of the earth.”
Wright, currently a free agent, played in college at Memphis and later for the Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks as a pro. He last played in the league for the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2008-09 season.
