*Continuing his talk show blitz to plug his Netflix documentary “Mitt,” former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney appeared on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity” Monday where he criticized President Barack Obama while weighing in on the state of national affairs – more than a year after Obama beat him in the 2012 presidential campaign.
Romney told Fox host Sean Hannity that the public lost faith in President Obama over promises he made regarding the Affordable Care Act.
“He really didn’t have an agenda for his second term and he’s groping to find one,” Romney said of Obama. “You’re not accomplishing a real legacy as a president unless you can work with people in both parties.”
*To promote his new Netflix documentary, former GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney hit up “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Friday and took part in a “slow jam the news” segment.
Mitt, Jimmy and The Roots sang about NSA wiretaps, the government’s health care website and more in anticipation of President Obama’s upcoming State of the Union address.
*Days after publicly apologizing for comments made about Mitt Romney’s adopted grandson Kieran, Melissa Harris-Perry is on the receiving end of daggers thrown by Ann Coulter, who referred to the MSNBC talk show host as the network’s “token” African-American.
Coulter and Sean Hannity had their say on Harris-Perry and her apology earlier this week on Fox News.
*On Sunday, Mitt Romney finally commented on the segment during Melissa Harris-Perry’s MSNBC show where panelists joked about a photo of his family and their adopted African-American infant grandson.
The former Republican presidential nominee was interviewed on Fox News Sunday a day after Harris-Perry offered an extended televised apology for her show’s Dec. 29 segment, which was titled “What’s So Funny About 2013″ and included comments on multiple photos from the past year.
In a segment labeled “Romney Reacts to MSNBC for Mocking Family Photo,” the former Massachusetts governor accepted the apology and reiterated that he wanted to move on.
*Mitt Romney has booked a rare TV interview – and it just so happens that he’s currently in the headlines for controversial comments made by MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry.
Fox News Channel announced today that the former Massachusetts governor and 2012 Republican presidential candidate will appear during the Jan. 5 episode of Fox News Sunday where he’ll be interviewed by Chris Wallace.
*Add Sarah Palin and Fox News to the growing list of folks ripping MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry over recent remarks she and her panel made regarding Mitt Romney’s newest grandson…the lone African American among a multitude of white relatives in the family’s Christmas photo.
Also, CNN reported, “some are calling for Melissa Harris-Perry to be fired.” Although that claim has been called into question, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
As previously reported, MHP started the New Year apologizing for making racially insensitive comments during her final program of 2013.
The segment had Harris-Perry showing the year’s most newsworthy photos to a panel and asking them to come up with clever captions. The one photo that didn’t include an image of President Barack Obama was the Romney Christmas card that featured a photo of the former Republican candidate for president surrounded by his wife and grandchildren. On his lap sat infant Kieran Romney, the adopted black son of one of Romney’s sons.
