Actress and R&B Singer Brandy arrives at ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” 300th Episode Celebration at Boulevard3 on May 14, 2013 in Hollywood
*Brandy has taken her career to CAA.
The singer-actress has signed with the powerful talent agency on the heels of her promotion to series regular this season on BET’s “The Game.” The former “Moesha” star joined the show last season in the then-recurring role as Chardonnay, the wife of Coby Bell’s ex-athlete Jason Pitts. The network announced in April that it was renewing the dramedy for a seventh season.
Brandy also recently appeared on the big screen in “Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.”
As a recording artist, Brandy recorded her self-titled debut album in 1994, at the age of 15, and won a Grammy for her duet with Monica on 1998’s “The Boy Is Mine.” Her sixth album, “Two Eleven,” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in October 2012, and its lead single, “Put It Down” featuring Chris Brown, was Brandy’s highest-charting song since 2002’s “What About Us?”
She is currently preparing a summer tour.
*Multitalented singer and actress, Brandy Norwood got her start in the world of fame at the tender age of 15 as a singer and later as an actress on popular show “Moesha.”
The pressures of life and work eventually boiled over, pushing the young diva over the edge with an eating disorder and breakdown.
Now 33 years old, she’s a proud mother of a 9-year-old girl and has taken on a new role on Lifetime series “Drop Dead Diva” as Elisa Shayne. She’s also starring in Tyler Perry’s movie, “The Marriage Counselor.”
But her career has come to a place where she feels it’s all for a purpose.

With her next album, “Two Eleven” due out in August, she explained Whitney Houston inspired the title and her whole career.
“I can just say that her life will never be forgotten and her life has inspired so many people, so many artists, and it’s awakened so many things inside of so many people.
You know, it’s unfortunate some of the things she had to experience, but at the end of the day she blessed so many people. She completely blessed me and changed my life from the moment I saw her open her mouth to sing. I was like ‘Oh my God! If I can just do a third of that, I would be doing something special.’
She continued, “You know, my whole life is dedicated to her. It really is – everything she has ever taught me and to live in that purpose. Yeah, I get shaken up every time I talk about it.”

*Truly sad story.
Former Moesha star, Yvette Wilson, known for her role as Andell Wilkerson, is battling a nasty battle against cancer, says blogger Carlton Jordan.
Fans and supporters of the star are helping her fight the illness through the “CANCER SUCKS” fund. Money from donations will go toward medical expenses not covered by Wilson’s insurance.
This isn’t her first battle against a serious health related issue. The comedian, who also appeared in films like “House Party 2,” “House Party 3″ and “Friday,” also experienced kidney failure, kidney transplants, and cervical cancer.
She beat it the first time, but it’s made an aggressive return even after a long retreat.
