*Rapper and co-founder of The Fugees, Pras, says he has been cheated out of thousands of dollars, double crossed and robbed of studio time by the same two guys.
In the lawsuit filed with the small claims court in Los Angeles county, Pras (who’s real name is Prakazrel Samuel Michel) claims he paid $5,600 to Jason Gluz to rent their North Hollywood recording studio, reports TMZ.
According to Pras, he never got to record a single song due to the studio being double-booked.
To make matters even worse, Pras says the guy refused to refund his money.
Pras is suing them for $9,000, which includes the $5,600 rent as well as the cash he shelled out for hotel and airfare to L.A. for the studio session.
Shemar Moore and Toni Braxton
*Shemar Moore is in trouble with one of his exes over comments he made to BET.com recently. The actor opened up about his high-profile relationships with Halle Berry and Toni Braxton early in his career. But he opened up a little too much. “Toni was very upset over Shemar’s remarks,” an insider told the National Enquirer. “Shemar made it sound like Toni was chasing him just to have sex.” The source adds, “She thought his comments were in poor taste, and when he compared her to Halle, that was just classless and disrespectful.” In the interview, Moore said dating Braxton was a “wild ride,” but that his relationship with Berry was a deeper connection.
*Lauryn Hill has escaped the terror of federal prison for tax evasion, for the most part. but she did get 3 months in jail and 3 months home arrest. How did she do it? We don’t know but she should write a “How To” manual. Former band mate Pras predicted it though. Her Fugees co-star was recently asked about the issue and said, “I doubt she’ll do 3 months. He compared Lauryn to the most famous law-breaker in the land — one Lindsay Lohan sayin’ ”… If Lindsay Lohan didn’t do time, why would she?” That’s (twisted) logic for ya.
*It’s always kind of weird when estranged celebrity friends, boyfriends, or whomever speak to the press on sort of personal (hard to be in the lime light) matters of other celebrities.
Wyclef Jean spoke to Montreality.com about ex-bandmate (and alleged lover) Lauryn Hill’s tax troubles.
The singer is facing three years in jail for failing to pay taxes.
“I heard about the little drama she got in-in the news, wishing her better on that. You know? Actually, I was on the phone with Pras earlier. It’s all good. Nothing but love for the Fugees,” he said.

Supposedly the singers haven’t spoken in years. A little awkward right?
Lauryn refused to pay taxes on her $1.8 million between 2005 and 2007, because she believed it was the move to make to withdraw from society and protect her family.
While she’s trying to figure things out financially, Wyclef is working on a book, “Purpose,” which will be out in September.
“My first book is called Purpose. Because that’s the first thing I did, right? I had to find my purpose. That’s what a lot of us go through.”
*On Sunday night, New York City nearly got a full on Fugees reunion during this year’s Rock the Bells Festival.
While Lauryn Hill was on stage she introduced her former band mate Pras Michel, who joined her in singing the hip hop trio’s “Ready or Not” and “Killing Me Softly.”
The two haven’t been on stage together since 2006, just before the group split up for the second time.
But this session on stage was a glorious one, full of congratulatory praise. It also was an event that might re-spark rumors of a Fugees reunion.
However, Wyclef and and Lauryn have been pretty adamant about there being no plans to come back together.
*Elections in Haiti are this Sunday, March 20, and presidential candidate Michel Martelly – shown above in the photo with Jimmy Rosemond, Wyclef Jean, and Pras – is expected to win.
Rosemond, by the way, assisted in organizing a concert for the final rally that will lead up to the election.
The concert will feature Busta Rhymes and the Fugees (including Lauryn Hill) is being held today, March 17, at Champs de Mars, Haiti, with an expected 200 thousand in attendance.
Wyclef Jean stated:
“It’s a new era in Haiti and we are campaigning for change for good in my beloved country. I had to come home as a Diaspora to make a difference.”
Jimmy Rosemond chimed in:
“No change comes easy especially in these trying times for the Haitian population but I had to come to encourage voting for that change. As the Diaspora becomes more involved with Haiti there can’t be nothing but good change.”
Millions of Haitians are hoping that the election on Sunday will change their condition, lives and how the world perceives them.

*Celebrities are already on the Obama re-election team and the leader for the 2012 campaign trail is will.i.am.
The leader of the Black Eyed Peas has announced plans to launch a major Twitter campaign in support of President Obama.
Will is not alone. Bill Duke and Jimmy Jean-Louis, Don Cheadle, El Debarge, Pras, Vivica Fox, Sinbad, Anthony Hamilton, Hill Harper, Sally Richardson, Sugar Shane Mosley and several others have hopped on board as well.
The campaign has been dubbed “i.am W/U MR. PRES!” and will kick off Nov. 13. As part of the campaign, the celebs will shoot a video at Record Plant studios in Hollywood, Calif. and will be tweeted by Will’s “indestructible Twitter army.”
