*This is a real-life story about how some woman got knocked the “f***” out! The woman was holding a parking space for her boyfriend when another man shows up and is arguing with her over the space she was standing in for her boyfriend.
The whole altercation seems completely ridiculous now, but this could mean some serious jail time for the man who hit her … since he put her in a coma with one punch.
The featherweight bout between 4ft 11in, 100 pound Lana Rosas, 25, and 150-pound Oscar Fuller, 35, occurred February 25, and Rosas has been in a coma ever since. (more…)
*He threw a single punch at Derrion Albert.
But that punch in the midst of an attack by an angry mob that would kick, punch, stomp and slam Albert over the head with a board before he was dragged away and rushed to a hospital and pronounced dead was enough to convince a jury to convict a 15-year-old boy of first-degree murder.
After a little more than a half hour, the jury came back Wednesday with the verdict that sent the teen sprawling back into his chair and an aunt rushing from the courtroom screaming “Oh lord, oh Lord.”
It was a stunningly quick end to the latest chapter of a story that began in September 2009 when hours after the 16-year-old honor student died video taken of the brawl on the city’s South Side was shown around the nation and beyond.
The teen was the first of five suspects to stand trial in the slaying of Albert, a Fenger High School student.

*More details are starting to emerge in the Floyd Mayweather domestic violence case in Las Vegas.
TMZ is reporting that, “according to documents,” Josie Harris, the mother of Mayweather’s kids, says the boxing champ struck her “multiple times in the head with his fist” and then threatened to kill her
Harris filed a request for a restraining order against Mayweather — and in the papers she states that he came into her Vegas home Thursday morning and awoke her by:
“pulling me by my hair and throwing me on the ground in my living room and began punching me in my head.”
She goes on to say that he began “dragging me on the floor and twisting my arm back … in attempt to try and break it.”
According to the documents, Harris claims Mayweather “continued to beat me in front of [the couple's three children].”
She claims that the fighter threatened the children — saying if they “ran or tried to call the police he would beat them the same way.”
In the docs, Harris also says Mayweather “yelled and screamed that he was going to kill me and my boyfriend and make sure we are taken care of.”
Meanwhile, even though Mayweather’s attorney Richard Wright said his client would cooperate as “required by law,” at EUR press time, police were still searching for the boxer to question him about the alleged incident.
*The Seattle police department has been under fire before over their brutal tactics, but they take it in stride with little to no disciplinary action against them.
The latest story came out of nowhere yesterday when a couple of African American women were in an altercation with a white Seattle police officer over a jaywalking incident that it appears had nothing to do with either of them. (more…)
