Rosario Dawson attends the after party for the Broadway opening night of “Macbeth” at Hudson Terrace on April 21, 2013 in New York City
“Trance” star Rosario Dawson is in talks to play the female lead opposite Chris Rock in the untitled comedy that Rock wrote and will direct for Scott Rudin and Barry Diller, reports Deadline.com.
The film, described as an edgy showbiz-themed comedy with romance, will shoot in New York this June.
Rudin and Rock linked up after the latter signed on to star on Broadway in The Motherf**ker With The Hat. This untitled comedy marks their first screen collaboration together.
Dawson will next reprise her memorable character in the sequel “Sin City: A Dame To Die For.” She’s also starring alongside Ryan Reynolds, Scott Speedman and Mireille Enos in the Atom Egoyan-directed “Queen Of The Night.”

“One cannot find a better costume worn by Whitney Houston – one of the greatest musical performers of all time – at the peak of her storied career,” she said.
Also available are Houston’s custom Fabrice Simon sequined gown she wore at the 1988 Grammy Awards, Spears’ sequined catsuit from her “Oops!…I Did It Again” performance at the 2000 Grammy Awards and the pop star’s dance costume from her “Circus” video.
J-Lo’s Eiko Ishioka costume from “The Cell,” complete with black and maroon accented wig, is also on the block.
