Deion Sanders (C) helps a single mom in need in the premiere episode of “Deion’s Family Playbook” on OWN
*Deion Sanders was as famous for his on-the-field showboating as he was for his skills as a Hall of Fame cornerback in the NFL.
Thanks to Oprah Winfrey’s OWN, fans are getting to see a less braggadocios side of the retired player in Prime Time’s reality series, “Deion’s Family Playbook,” which highlights his role as a single dad raising five kids of his own, as well as five other children.
The show also follows his charter school Prime Prep Academy, which he co-founded as an effort to make a lasting impact on kids in underserved communities.
*Actor and comedian Flex Alexander is the creator of digital comic book series, “The Joshua Run” and has just released the second episode of the series.
The story focuses on David Joshua, a computer hacker for hire who specializes in making people’s ‘problems’ go away. He’s the “hook-up” guy for all those parking ticket and bad grade needs.
*Life goes on for LaTavia Roberson, former member of Destiny’s Child.
The singer is hard at work, with lots of projects on her hands, including becoming a mother.
Yes, if you haven’t heard she’s pregnant and almost due!
LaTavia is expecting to deliver her lil bundle of joy on Sept. 4th, Beyoncé’s birthday wouldn’t ya know.
The baby daddy is still unknown to the public, but according to a press release, he is “a well known Atlanta producer.”
We can only speculate on a name.
On top of the new baby news, she just signed a deal for a reality show with Carlos King’s Kingdom Reign Entertainment, the same man responsible for the “Real Housewives” and “Love & Hip Hop” franchises.
“I’m excited to work with LaTavia to effectively tell her story on television,” Carlos said in a statement. “This is her first time speaking out about her past. This woman has endured more than the public even realizes, and once they hear half of it, they will be in awe. She is a true survivor!”
