*What a difference a few days makes for Lil Wayne.
It was just this past Friday when TMZ was reporting the dimuitive rapper was on his death bed.
Well now, the site is reporting that he’s been released from Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Wayne spent 6 days in the hospital — most of it in the Intensive Care Unit — after suffering what appears to be a drug OD that triggered a series of massive seizures.
Sources connected with the rapper say he’s feeling weak but he’s a lot better. He plans on laying low until he makes a full recovery.
*Ray J, according to an email update from his publicist, Courtney Barnes, has been released from the hospital in Las Vegas and is back home in Los Angeles.

The singer/actor had been hospitalized since Monday morning where he underwent an extensive battery of tests to make sure that he did not have a blood clot in his lungs which is potentially a deadly condition that can occur following a long haul plane flight.

Ray J had arrived in Vegas Sunday following a 32 hour round trip from China and four hour drive to Las Vegas. His condition was thought to be the same as the one that took the life of hip-hop legend Heavy D last year.
*Good news for Nick Cannon. He’s on the mend and has been released from an LA hospital after dealing with what’s described as “mild kidney failure.”
“He is resting and recovering at home and would like to thank everyone who has expressed concern, well wishes and prayers,” his spokesperson, Tracy Nguyen said Monday.
Cannon will be back on the air with his New York morning radio show next week, Nguyen said.
Nick and wife Mariah Carey were vacationing in Aspen with their twins, Monroe and Moroccan, when he fell ill last month.
*We suppose we can interpret this as a bit of good news for legendary singer Etta James. The terminally ill singer was released from a Southern California hospital on Thursday, according to her manager.
“She is home with her husband and family by her side,” said Lupe De Leon. “Her condition remains stable.”
James, 73, was hospitalized two weeks, battling the final stages of terminal leukemia and suffering from dementia.
She spent New Year’s Eve watching the ball drop with her sons, Donto and Sametto James, in her hospital room.

Meanwhile, CNN is reporting that Paul Wright, a lawyer who represents the sons in their dispute with Etta James’ husband over who makes decisions for her, said Sunday that the singer is “nearing the end of her time, but she’s a tough lady.”
The judge overseeing James’ conservatorship approved an agreement last month in which husband Artis Mills is the conservator, but he must equally share “end of life” decisions with the sons, Wright said.
Mills is also limited in how much of her estate he can spend and he cannot “encumber her music catalog,” Wright said.
