America’s Got Talent (Season 8) L-R: Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, Howie Mandell
*Melanie “Mel B” Brown had a rough start to her run on “America’s Got Talent,” having been booed by two different audiences (New York and New Orleans) during the audition rounds in March and April.
But it’s been smooth sailing between the crowds and the Spice Girl ever since. Brown assumes judging duty on the NBC series, lugging with her a resume full of judging experience – Including “The X Factor: Australia,” “Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model” and “The X Factor UK” – all three in 2012.

When “America’s Got Talent” dialed her number to join new judge Heidi Klum and returning judges Howard Stern and Howie Mandel on the panel for season 8, Brown wasted no time with her reply.
“I’ve been a fan of ‘America’s Got Talent’ for a long long time,” said Brown. “It’s a thing we constantly watch in our household. So to be a part of it, of course I’m gonna say yes. I love it.”

*”America’s Got Talent” is about to add a little spice to the mix for next season.
Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown – a.k.a. Mel B, a.k.a. Scary Spice – will replace exiting judge Sharon Osbourne on the NBC competition series, where she will join Howard Stern and Howie Mandel, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
Mel B’s reality TV resume includes being a judge on the Australian version of “The X Factor” in 2011, co-hosting Australia’s “Dancing with the Stars,” competing on the “Dancing With the Stars” in the U.S., along with stints as a guest judge on “The X Factor” UK and “Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model.”
The pop star also appeared in her own reality show, “Mel B: It’s a Scary World,” on the Style Network.
Sharon announced she was leaving “AGT” in August, claiming that her son, Jack, was fired from NBC’s “Stars Earn Stripes” following his diagnosis with multiple sclerosis. NBC denied this claim.
“America’s Got Talent” Season 8 premieres on May 28.

”We’re always talking about getting together. We always have cups of tea and dinners together. We’re all friends at the end of the day,” she told London’s Daily Mirror newspaper.
As for reuniting with Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C for the Olympics, she said: ”It was lovely. Those four girls mean everything to me. We had such an amazing time. We were hanging out in the dressing room all day because we had to get there at 10am on Sunday morning. We had a great time … we were just hanging out, playing music and gossiping with each other. It was a lovely, proper girlie time.”
Mel wouldn’t reveal many details about a possible future reunion but said it was on their agenda. ”We haven’t had any actual conversations except raving about the Olympics so far, but yeah … we’ll see,” she said.
Before Sunday, the group last performed together in 2008 as part of their comeback tour.
