*Music producer Swizz Beatz is determined to help his troublesome friend DMX get his career back on track by focusing all his efforts on completing the rapper’s new album.
DMX, born Earl Simmons, has struggled to stay out of legal trouble in recent years and was arrested earlier this month (for the fourth time in 2013 alone), after he was pulled over at an airport in South Carolina for driving on a suspended license. He was also charged with driving without insurance and driving an unlicensed vehicle.
The arrest occurred as DMX prepared to fly to New York for a comeback appearance with Beatz on “The Wendy Williams Show,” but the interview and performance was subsequently scrapped.
Beatz has now spoken out to assure fans that the rapper is doing well, and that the follow up to 2012′s “Undisputed” will be worth the wait.
“Everything is DMX for me right now. It’s my main focus because it’s what started everything,” he told MTV’s RapFix Live host Sway. “He’s been going through a lot of different things but… he’s DMX! He’s good; he’s in good vibes. But wait until y’all hear this music though – y’all gon’ really know how he is. We working hard on that and I can’t wait. I can’t wait.”

*A family in the Hamptons woke up one night to a bunch of noise downstairs, only to find out it was Alicia Keys, her husband and their friends having a good ol’ time…in the wrong house.
Keys and Swizz Beatz had rented a place down the road, but got “confused and accidentally entered the wrong house,” a source told Page Six. It’s unclear why said house was unlocked, but it so happened that the R&B singer and her posse ended up in a stranger’s kitchen.
A “Hamptons insider” explained the night, saying, “There was a woman upstairs in the bedroom at the house, and she heard noises downstairs. The woman’s daughter, a recent college grad, and her friends had been ‘pregaming’ earlier in the night before going out, so she assumed that the noise was that they’d all returned home.”
Instead, she found Alicia Keys.
According to Page Six, “all parties saw the humor in the mishap,” which, we guess, means no charges were pressed, and maybe even some backstage passes were given out.
*Alicia Keys got her Bond Girl on in Brazil recently…at least her husband thinks so.
An Instagram photo of the singer, 33, was posted Wednesday by her music producer hubby Swizz Beatz, alongside a heart-filled caption that read, “Yeah baby. #BondGirlFlow”
The photo had a similar look to Halle Berry’s Bond girl, Jinx – from the shoreline pose down to the orange bikini.
Keys is in Brazil celebrating Beatz’ 35th birthday. She posted a Twitter photo this morning of Beatz sitting in front of a graffiti art wall with the message: “Happy Bday 2my [MAGNIFICENT] husband @therealswizzz!! Who’s living proof there r NO limits! I love u with all of me!!”
It has been a memorable birthday week for Beatz, who has posted numerous Instagram photos of the couple’s vacation, including a shot of the whole family on a yacht, the couple’s 2½-year-old son, Egypt, happily posing between his parents.
*After 10 years together, Amar’e Stoudemire has finally given his wife Alexis her dream wedding.
The New York Knicks forward, who originally married Alexis on Dec. 12, 2012 in front of an audience of 12 at their New York City home, threw a second ceremony and a large reception on Saturday evening in Miami, Fla, reports People.com.
“Great weekend with friends and family. Alexis and I are so blessed and grateful,” Stoudemire, 30, Tweeted Monday, sharing a wedding photo.
Stoudemire wore a Calvin Klein suit for the ceremony but changed into Lanvin for the reception, E! News reports. His wife chose J’Aton Couture for the ceremony and Oscar de la Renta for the reception.
Guests reportedly included Stoudemire’s Knicks teammates Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler, as well as Grant Hill and producers Timbaland, Swizz Beatz and his wife, musician Alicia Keys.
The nuptials come just five weeks after Alexis delivered their fourth child, son Alijah Carsares. The couple are also parents to daughters Ar’e, 7, and Assata, 5, and son Amar’e Jr., 6.
*Jay-Z dropped another Samsung promo ad on Thursday.
Titled “Oceans,” after a song on his upcoming “Magna Carta Holy Grail” album featuring Frank Ocean, the commercial gives some insight into Jay-Z’s layered style of songwriting.
In the add, Hov is seen explaining the concept behind the track to Rick Rubin, Swizz Beatz, Timbaland and Pharrell Williams.
It’s like me, now, no matter where I go in life, and the things that I accomplish — when you walk in that room, your past still comes in with you. You hear people talking like, “Oh, that guy was the dealer from the projects and doo-doo-doom-doom.” Back again to that duality — it’s a celebration of where we are now, on some big yacht, throwing champagne in the water. But the undertow of the thing is like the same water that brought us here, originally. I slaved, so it has this whole duality. And how we all rewrite history — even the stories that we were told about the history of America… I’m like an anti-Santa Maria, talking about these stories – the only Christopher we acknowledge is Wallace. Silk and fleeces lay on my Jesus, oh my God, I hope y’all don’t get seasick. You know, we’re playing the theme with of being sea sick or seeing things and being jealous of it.
“Magna Carta Holy Grail” will be available 72 hours early for one million Galaxy S III, Galaxy S 4, and Galaxy Note II owners on July 4t through a special app: http://smsng.us/MCHG
