*Once again Rihanna‘s fanbase, also known by the moniker ”Navy,” has proved to be quite loyal to the pop star during her latest Twitter beef with fellow singer Teyana Taylor.
If you follow Taylor at all then you might’ve peeped the Instagram video she posted singing a portion of Anita Baker’s classic song “Caught in the Rapture.” Well, Teyana wasn’t quite ready for the shade Rihanna threw at her out of nowhere.
RiRi took to her Instagram account this morning to post a video of her hairstylist Yusef singing the exact same part of the song as Taylor. On top of that Yusef was draped in a long black wig and a snapback, which is known as Taylor’s signature look.
Once Miss Taylor got word of the video parody, she didn’t hesitate to jump on Twitter and let RiRi know she is not to be played with.
“Don’t play wit me @rihanna f–k all this industry s–t, YOU & I know each other VERY well. Throwing subs 4 wat? u got my #, don’t show off.”
In true form, RiRi’s Navy jumped into the war in attempt to drop the bomb on Tayana but she refused to back down and responded: “y’all could bully everybody else & get away wit that s–t but that s–t ain’t gone work ova here. so y’all could miss me with that NAVY s–t.”
It seemed Rihanna was okay letting her fans do her dirty work and didn’t dare mention Taylor directly. “Screaming in an empty room! #dontfeedtheanimals.”
She then put up a picture comparing her net worth of $90 million to the “Google Me” singer’s income of $500,000.
Still refusing to back down, Taylor threw a punch at Rihanna by referencing her infamous sex life in her tweet.
“90 million dollars & 90 million n—-s diving in that b—h box,” Taylor tweeted. She also changed her avi on Twitter to a photoshopped image of her punching Rihanna during a boxing match. The singer used the picture of Rihanna that was snapped after her violent altercation with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in 2009.
