*Lil Wayne graces the cover of GQ’s upcoming “Music Issue” (alongside Eminem and Keith Richards) and opens up about a number of topics inside, including how much he misses drugs and his relationship with his biological father.
The rapper has often spoken openly of his marijuana usage, and was rumored to regularly take codeine cough syrup. In 2008, he was arrested in Arizona on drug charges when authorities searched his tour bus and, according to ABC News, discovered 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine, 41 grams of ecstasy and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
Wayne is now said to be drug free, but told GQ, “I drank syrup and smoked a lotta weed. I wish I could be back on it. That’s how it f*cking feels. How does it feel to be sober? I’ll be like, It feels f*cked-up.’ What you want me to say? ‘It feels great’? No.”
The rapper refers to marijuana as “something that the doctor prescribed,’ having previously stated he suffers from migraines.
Meanwhile, the interview shifted toward questions about his biological father, but Wayne dismissed them with the explanation, “He don’t give a sh*t about me. And I don’t give a sh*t about him.”

Lil Wayne just barely missed his own sales record. “Tha Carter III” sold just over 1 million when it was released in 2008.
Lil Wayne made “Tha Carter IV” available for digital download immediately after an appearance on the MTV Video Music Awards and released a physical CD two days later.

The hospital’s spokeswoman Jamie Newell said she could not confirm the rapper was admitted to the facility because of privacy laws, but Wayne later tweeted, “The Lou was good but I busted my … head at the sk8park! 9stitches! Gnarly gash over my left eye! Luv the people”.

*Lil Wayne has been forced to cancel plans for a U.K. tour this summer after British immigration officials refused to issue him a work visa due to his criminal record.
The rapper is currently on the road in the U.S. with Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and Travis Barker, as part of his I Am Still Music Tour, and was expected to launch a European leg after the May release of “Tha Carter IV.”
But Stereoboard.com reports U.K. border officials have rejected Wayne’s visa application as a result of his recent prison stint for weapons possession. Weezy served eight months for the charge last year.
Immigration representatives also highlighted his other legal woes, including allegations of drug possession in 2008 and 2009.
As a result of the visa denial, Wayne has reportedly scrapped all planned dates in Europe, including a July 4th performance at the Marquee Festival in Cork, Ireland.
Lil Wayne’s camp has yet to comment.
