*Dating can be tough, but Tionna Smalls has the answer to all of those single lady questions.
She’s going to teach women how to get the man of their dreams with her new MTV show, “Girl Get Your Mind Right!”
She shares with single women the keys to success, but sets the foundations with an in depth self evaluation.
“The #1 thing that I can give any girl is that you have to be self confident. You have to love yourself,” she told S2S. “A lot of people go looking for love in the wrong place. They’re looking for someone to make them feel good about themselves. But the main thing is you have to feel that way about yourself without a man. That’s #1. Bottom line.”
Please believe Ms. Tionna is practicing what she preaches. Although she too is a single woman out there dating and all, she believes in her advice.
“I love following my own advice because people will test you to see if you follow [what you say]. Men test you on what you write about,” said Tionna, who points out that you don’t have to be a published author like her to experience this yourself. With the invention of Facebook everyone is narrating their life, and guys like being referenced as much as possible. “They love to be written about. These men will do anything to be written about.”
The young, self-proclaimed relationship expert credits her family for setting a solid foundation. Her married parents’ example set the standard for her.
In the meantime, look out for her show soon on MTV. No premiere date has been announced yet.
*Emmy Award winning hairstylist and salon diva, Lavette Slater, hosted a true to life discussion about real issues affecting real people from sex, beauty, work and relationships. The conversation was fiery and deep diving.
MTV’s Tionna Smalls , VH1’s Ariane Davis of Love & Hip Hop ATL, VH1’s Olivia and Raqi Thunda of Love & Hip Hop NY and relationship aficionado Blogxilla lead the very hot and juicy conversation where topics on men, women, sex, beauty and relationships were discussed. Similar to sitting in your hair stylist or barber’s chair, nothing was off limits.
“I’ve come up with the concept of Salon Diaries because the salon is where we have the best and juiciest conversations. For every cut, highlight, roller set, snip and curl, we make people feel beautiful and confident and in a small way, we change lives while we enjoy humorous and sometimes poignant tales from customers,” says Lavette.
Besides real life experiences and heartbreak, a very special offering of Smoke Liqueur and sweet treats also fueled the conversation.
Her Nails Rock also treated guests to manicures.

*Chili needs to find love once again, so she’s getting ready to start up the next season of her VH1 series, “What Chili Wants.” She and her partner in crime, Tionna Smalls, are going to be gearing up to test the men who are lined up for a date with Chili.
The new season premiere’s Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 9:30pm.
“Just shy of 40, Chilli is consumed by a desire to have another child and time is definitely working against her,” VH1 says in a statement. “This time around, Chilli’s not only looking for the perfect man, she’s also looking for a potential husband and father.”
The statement continues, “In the second season of ‘What Chilli Wants,’ Tionna takes to the road on a nationwide search to focus on ‘high value’ targets that will not only turn Chilli’s head, but open her heart as well,” VH1 states. “As a result, various encounters and hot chemistries ensue as Chilli’s dates take her up and down the eastern seaboard; from Miami, where she puts things in high gear with a dynamic Indy racecar driver; to New York, where a head-turning Swedish model shows her he’s much more than just a pretty face.”
The statement goes on to say …
“However, looming in the background is an old flame with whom Chilli has for years been on the cusp of a real, romantic relationship – but continually let down by his lack of commitment. Now, much to Tionna’s dismay, all seems to be forgiven when he shows up in Atlanta to spend some quality time with Chilli. That said, is this old flame for real and ready to step up to a real relationship? And in the end, will Chilli finally open her heart and let someone in?”
