*Rapper Joe Budden missed his scheduled gig in New York Thursday night after he was reportedly arrested on an outstanding warrant, reports MTV.com.
The artist was due to perform with his group Slaughterhouse at Manhattan’s Best Buy Theatre, but was absent when the rest of the band took the stage.
Budden’s bandmates addressed his absence during the show, telling the crowd the rapper had been arrested on a warrant stemming from a 2007 traffic violation.
The audience responded by chanting Budden’s name, with Royce da 5’9″ later telling them, “We love Joey too, chanting for him ain’t gonna get him outta jail.”
The details are now in regarding Christopher “Kid” Reid’s arrest Tuesday morning.
The outstanding warrant was tied to a drunk driving case he caught in 2010. Specifically, his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit when he was pulled over last July, and on top of that, he didn’t make his follow-up court dates.
Upon being released Tuesday evening, Reid stated that this was all just one big clerical mess-up on the part of LAPD.

*What’s up with this?
TMZ is reporting that Christopher “Kid” Reid — one half of the rap group Kid n’ Play — was arrested in Los Angeles earlier today and is till in custody.
LAPD officers went to Reid’s home to arrest him because there was an active warrant out for him. So far, it’s unclear why the warrant was issued.
Sources say Kid was “very cooperative” with police.
*TMZ is reporting that Los Angeles police are searching for Suge Knight after he failed to show up for a court appearance.
Court documents show the former Death Row mogul was due to appear last week for driving on a suspended license back in 2009. But Knight never made the hearing and is now facing arrest.
It’s the latest in a long line of legal problems the star has faced in recent months. He was arrested in May on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, and late last month he was given a restraining order after an associate alleged Knight had threatened him.
