According to a network spokeswoman,  “Greg Anthony will not be working again for CBS this season.”

We hope that means he MIGHT still have a job next year.

According to reports, Anthony arrested Friday evening Anthony was arrested and he faces a misdemeanor solicitation charge that’s punishable by up to 180 days in jail.

Lt. Kelvin Cusick of the District of Columbia police department Anthony, 47, was released Friday evening. No further details were available.

Apparently he was in DC because he was scheduled to announce the Michigan State-Maryland men’s basketball game Saturday in nearby College Park, Maryland.

Anthony won an NCAA Championship with UNLV in 1990 and spent over a decade in the NBA playing the guard position. Since his playing days, he’s had a very successful national media career as a basketball analyst, first at ESPN and now at CBS and Turner. He’s also called some D-league games for NBA-TV as well.
