*Giuliana Rancic has reported on her share of celebrity on-air apologies as a co-host on “E! News.” Yesterday, she used the show to give one of her own.

Rancic acknowledged that she “went too far” during an Academy Awards special of her other E! program “Fashion Police” when discussing Zendaya Coleman’s dreads. She said, “I feel like she smells like patchouli oil…and maybe weed.”

As previously reported, Zendaya clapped back with a lengthy Facebook post calling Rancic’s remarks “disrespectful”, “ignorant” and “outrageously offensive.”

It prompted Giuliana to tweet her first apology: “Dear Zendaya I’m sorry I offended you and others. I was referring to a bohemian chic look. Had NOTHING to do with race and NEVER would!!!”

Black Twitter wasn’t feeling G’s response and lit up her timeline.

So during Tuesday’s broadcast of  E! News, she looked into the camera and gave another apology.

“I do understand that something I said last night did cross the line. I didn’t intend to hurt anybody,” she said, adding that she did “offend” Coleman as well as other fans.

“I am so, so sincerely sorry. This has really been a learning experience for me. I’ve learned a lot today. It has taught me to be a lot more aware of cliches and stereotypes and damage they can do.”
