*Bobby Shmurda will remain behind bars until his February 22 trial date after he was denied bail on Monday.
The Brooklyn rapper was arrested in December along with 14 fellow members of the G-Stone 90s gang on drugs and weapons charges.
Shmurda appeared in court Monday with his new lawyer, Alex Spiro, of the prestigious Brafman & Associates law firm. After Judge James Burke postponed the trial date, Spiro argued in favor of releasing his client pending the trial. Prosecutor Nigel Farinha countered by pointing out he has been denied bail four times already, and the case against him has since gotten stronger.
Shmurda, who rejected an 8-year plea deal in July, faces up to 25 years in prison.
