Michael Jackson Tops Forbes’ 2015 Dead Celeb Money Makers

*Michael Jackson may be dead, but that doesn’t mean he’s not making money.

The entertainer, who died in 2009, at the age of 50, is at the head of the list of top-earning dead celebrities tabulated by Forbes.

Jackson brought in $115 million over the past year. Another dead singing legend, Elvis Presley, is number 2 with $55 million.

And if you’re wondering what the sources are of MJ’s income, it’s the permanent Vegas Cirque du Soleil show “Michael Jackson One,” the Mijac Music catalogue, music sales and half of the Sony/ATV publishing empire.

Jackson was found dead at his Los Angeles home on June 25, 2009, after suffering a heart attack caused by an overdose of anesthetic called propofol.

Meanwhile, “Peanuts” creator Charles Schulz is ranked number three on the list with $40 million in earnings which comes from his licensing revenue.
