*Showtime has chosen a February 5 airdate for “Michael Jackson’s Journey From Motown To Off The Wall,” a documentary from Spike Lee.

The film, produced by Lee, John Branca and John McClain, centers on the singer as he is catapulted by the success of his first major solo project, the 1979 album “Off the Wall,” from child star to King of Pop. This film explores the seminal album, with archival footage and interviews.

Sony Music and Jackson’s estate are combining to rerelease “Off The Wall” with a DVD of the movie on Feb. 26.

The premiere comes after the film has its world premiere January 24 in the Premieres section of the Sundance Film Festival, according to Deadline.com.
