*Derrick Rose is not letting any opportunity to clear his name slip by as he put his rape accuser on the spot with a list of demands that included a request to turn over used condoms from the night the accuser was allegedly gang raped.
TMZ Sports reports a request for materials related to the case was submitted by Rose and his attorneys during preparation for a deposition in January. Items requested from the accuser include texts, photos and emails as well as “any and all condoms that you retained as evidence from after the alleged rape.”
At the heart of the case are claims made from the accuser that Rose and two of his friends drugged her, got into her apartment later that night and raped her in August 2013. The accuser is suing Rose for more than $20 million.
As for why Rose is requesting the used condoms, TMZ notes that It’s unclear if the request is based on direct knowledge the accuser held onto condoms as well as how the items would impact the case. One thing to note would be the condoms would be well over two-years-old now.
Based on the court documents, the accuser clearly was able to produce some of the items Rose requested, such as texts.
